Song Joong Ki’s ‘Reborn Rich’ Selected as ‘K-drama With Worst Ending’ – Here’s Why

"Reborn Rich" starring Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Bin is among the most talked about series of 2022; however, some see the show as K-drama with the worst ending.

In a report, community portal DC Inside, did a survey, titled "Drama with the worst ending that you remember?" where viewers voted on which K-drama they think fit in the category.

Unfortunately, the JTBC series topped the chart for one reason.

'Reborn Rich' Hailed as the 'K-drama With Worst Ending'

The 16-part episode K-drama made a record-breaking viewership after "Reborn Rich" surpassed the reign of "SKY Castle" as the second highest-rated K-drama in cable TV history and is now next to "The World of the Married" starring Kim Hee Ae, Han So Hee and Park Hae Joon.

At the height of the drama, cast members especially veteran actor Lee Sung Min and Kim Kang Hoon, who played the young Song Joong Ki were lauded by netizens for their exceptional acting.

There's no denying that the JTBC series was among the most talked about K-drama of 2022 but some viewers were disappointed with the finale and voted it as the K-drama with the worst ending.

The results were announced on January 9 with the survey held from January 2 to 8. With 14 percent of votes, "Reborn Rich" took the top spot.

To recall, the series made a huge mark in 2022, unfortunately, the Song Joong Ki-led series was criticized after airing its finale episode.

At the time, netizens expressed how they were dismayed with the show's ending, pointing out the absurd development that it didn't meet viewers' expectations.

On the other hand, some were satisfied with the ending and even hopeful that the series will return with a sequel after "Reborn Rich" concluded with an open ending.

K-drama With Worst Ending: 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' Lands Second Place

After "Reborn Rich" the ENA series "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" starring Park Eun Bin took the second spot with 14 percent.

The drama follows the story of 27-year-old Woo Young Woo, played by Park Eun Bin, who despite being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder managed to graduate at the top of her class and enter a prestigious law firm.

Joining the actress are Kang Ki Young and Kang Tae Oh.

As for "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" viewers were dismayed by the sudden love story at the end, pertaining to the characters of Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh.

Entering third place is the coming-of-age series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" with 13 percent.

Headlined by Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk, viewers were hooked by the drama's interesting plot and chemistry but some were disappointed with the show's ending, especially with the breakup.
