Kim Da Mi Makes Silver Screen Comeback With 'Soulmate'

In the past year, Kim Da Mi made significant appearances in both the big and small screens with "Our Beloved Summer" and "The Witch: Part 2. The Other One."

This 2023, the award-winning star is finally making her return to the silver screen with a new major acting role in the coming of age film "Soulmate," five years after she headlined the sci-fi film "The Witch: Part 1: The Subversion."

"Soulmate" follows Mi So, played by Kim Da Mi, and Ha Eun, played by Jeon So Nee, who navigate life while trying to maintain their friendship, which is tested by time and fate.

Based on the Chinese movie of the same name, "Soulmate" highlights the various emotions of real people, their joy, sadness and longing.

On January 17, Next Entertainment World, also known as NEW, unveiled the new posters of the film, featuring lead actresses Kim Da Mi and Jeon So Nee.

The film posters capture the attention of the public with the two stars' chemistry. Kim Da Mi and Jeon So Nee also exude a certain kind of contentment as the two bask in the beauty of their friendship against the background of the calm sea.

The text on the poster that translates to "We shine the most when we're with one another" delivers the heart-fluttering feeling of being "soulmates," which is the moral of the film.

With this, expectations for Kim Da Mi's performance is through the roof as to how she will give life to her new acting role five years after her last visit from the big screen.

Furthermore, "Soulmate" is scheduled to air in March 2023 in theaters nationwide.
