In one of the teasers, he is with co-star Lee Sang Yi who plays Hong Woo Jin, Gun Woo's rival boxer.

In the comment section, fans can't help but gush over Woo Do Hwan's visual and are looking forward to the K-drama's premiere.

'Bloodhounds' Cast and Release Date

Helmed and written by Jason Kim of "Midnight Runner," and "Divine Fury," "Bloodhounds" is based on the webtoon of the same name that follows the story of two men who were entangled in huge debt.

In pursuit of money, the duo was caught up in a complicated situation involving loan sharks.

It is a noir action drama starring Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, and Jung Da Eun, who replaced Kim Sae Ron as the lead star due to her DUI issue.

Apart from the trio, veteran actors Park Sung Woong of "Snowdrop" and Heo Joon Ho of "escape from Mogadishu" will also be joining as lead stars.

Set to premiere in the second quarter of this year exclusively on Netflix, viewers will get to see Woo Do Hwan's versatility as he took the role of Kim Gun Woo.

Once a promising boxer who won the Rookie of the Year award, his world turned upside down after meeting President Choi, played by Heo Joon Ho, and becoming his bodyguard.

As mentioned, Lee Sang Yi plays Gun Woo's rival who then becomes his partner after working with a private loan business.

On the other hand, the antagonist of "Bloodhounds" will be played by Park Sung Woong as Myeong Gil.

Described as a vicious man, he is a loan shark who is only driven by money. The upcoming series will also feature an intense conflict between Myeong Gil and President Choi.

Interestingly, "Bloodhounds" will be Woo Do Hwan's comeback to the small screen after 2020 hit K-drama "The King: Eternal Monarch" with Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun.

In addition, this is also his first on-screen project after he was officially discharged in January 2022.

Apart from the Netflix series, Woo Do Hwan will also appear as the lead star in the soon-to-be-released historical romance drama "Joseon Lawyer" together with Bona and Cha Hak Yeon.
