‘Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2’: Kim Min Jae Gets Detained by the Governor’s Office
"Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" season 2 showcases a new challenge for Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, and the Gyesoo clinic family after the Crown Princess and the Governor's Office intervene with their management.
The medical historical K-drama focuses on Yoo Se Poong, who was once a royal physician but was ousted from the palace due to a conspiracy about the late King.
Living with a new identity along with his trusted aide, Man Bok they eventually found themselves working at a remote clinic run by Gye Ji Han and also met Lady Seo Eun Woo.
Little did they know that being with the Gyesoo family will change their life forever.
As for the second season, Yoo Se Poong is highly regarded by the new King but the Governor's Office seemed to doubt his skill as a physician.
'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2' Episode 3 Viewership
According to Nelsen Korea, "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2" episode 2 shows another rise in viewership.
For the show's January 18 broadcast, the historical medical K-drama garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 3.3 percent, marking another increase after its episode 2 fell short in rating.
To recall, the previous episode scored 2.5 percent, a decline from 3.6 percent during its pilot episode.

The episode starts with the Gyesoo clinic being ordered by the Governor's Office to be temporarily closed.
The Crown Princess went to visit the clinic herself announcing the orders from the palace.

Yoo Se Poong asked the Princess behind the commotion and said that it was because of her, rising speculations that he was a womaniser.
As the commotion heightened, Royal Clinic's physician Jeon Kang Il, delivered another announcement noting that the Gyesoo clinic will be under investigation.
Yoo Se Poong, Lady Seo Eun Woo, and Gye Ji Han went under probe to find out of the clinic have irregularities.
During the investigation, So Cheon was invited by the royal physician to ask about Yoo Se Poong treated her.
She shared that physician Poong encourage her to write what she feels. Upon hearing this, Jeon Kang Il was stunned to hear Yoon Se Poong's bizarre way of treating people and ordering his men to investigate him.
On the other hand, despite Gyesoo Clinic being temporarily close, the team still welcomed patients and treated them by the lake. For, Gye Ji Han he will still continue treating people even without the clinic.
Meanwhile, one of the highlights of "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2" is the agreement between Princess Seo and Jeon Kang Il.
It comes after the royal physician saw how the Princess wanted to marry Poong while for Jeon Kang Il, he wants to get to know more about Lady Seo, and with Poong constantly beside her, there will be no chance to get close to her.
With this, the duo planned to take away the Gyesoo clinic from Yoo Se Poong. Jeon Kang Il thinks that the best way is to detain him until they formalize the closure of the clinic.
