‘The Forbidden Marriage’ Episode 12: Kim Young Dae Asks Park Ju Hyun To Be His Queen
After revealing her identity, Park Ju Hyun received a wedding proposal from Kim Young Dae in "The Forbidden Marriage" episode 12.
'The Forbidden Marriage' Episode 12: Ye So Rang Uncovers Her Real Name
The Grand Queen Mother meets up with Ye So Rang (Park Ju Hyun). The former con artist says she wants to reveal her real name.
On the next day, one of the candidates to be the King's next wife bows down, saying that it should be Hyun Seon. The Queen Mother calls her out her name, and two girls step forward. Ye So Rang ends up revealing she's the real Hyun Seon, while Hyun Hee denies it.
Seo Woon Jung asks the father to confirm the truth, he proclaims she's his true daughter and her name is Hyun Seon. Later on, Woon Jung is exposed as having been trying to destroy the selection process-and Lee Heon drags the three of them away.
Lee Heon Marries So Rang And Lifts the Marriage Ban
Lee Heon (Kim Young Dae) then asks So Rang for her hand in marriage, and without hesitation, she immediately agrees to the king's proposal. Lee Heon then announces that he is finally lifting the marriage ban. Everyone is loud and the palace is surrounded by cheers from the crowd. Many already propose to their loved ones and prepare for their wedding.
Meanwhile, the King's enemies gather and discuss what happened when it's revealed that Na Sang Ju was set free. He comes to kill Jo Sung Gyun (Yang Dong Geun), who is the mastermind behind the murder cases. However, it turns out that Lee Heon is the one who set him free in exchange for handing in his master.
Jo Sung Gyun tries to take revenge by drawing his sword at the king. Unfortunately, he's attacked and wounded in the process with arrows, and Lee Heon shows one final blow killing the traitor.

Later on, Lee Heon meets with So Rang and had a conversation, he asks if he can still call her the way he used to call her name before. She then agrees and expresses how lucky she is to have him. In response, he assured So rang to have known Grand Queen Mother would stand by her side once the truth is revealed.
The Queen Mother escorts So Rang away from him for 40 days until marriage and embraces the new queen.
The next day, So Rang starts training to become a queen. Eunuch Se Jang talks to Court Lady Won (Hwang Jung Min) who was brought back to serve the upcoming queen, and asks for her hand in marriage, to which she excitedly says yes.
Justice is Served For Ye So Rang
Na Sang Ju ends up in the hands of Ban Ran Tan (No Min Woo) who wants to avenge his sister's death, his group ended up killing the traitor.
Lee Heon sentences So Rang's family. The father is revealed to have been poisoned by them and his health condition got worse. However, since he couldn't manage the family, he's suspended until he repents. Hyun Hee is sentenced to work away as a punishment for the rest of her life, and Seo Won Jung is hanged for her crimes.
So Rang and Lee Heon finally exchanged wedding vows. After their marriage, the new queen asks Lee Heon to grant the new moms days to recover, which he follows and orders 100 days of maternal leave, and the husband also gets 30 days off.
Meanwhile, the newlyweds set up Lee Shin Won (Kim Woo Seok) and Hwa Yeon (Jo Soo Min) together, and ends up dating. Since the marriage ban was over, everyone is happily getting married.
