Is '20th Century Girl' Byeon Woo Seok's Big Break?

Though he started as a model, Byeon Woo Seok unexpectedly found a path for him in the acting field.

In 2016, the male star entered the glamorous industry of showbiz. Not knowing what the future might bring, Byeon Woo Seok tried doing minor roles through "Dear My Friends," "Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo."

With enough experience from his previous works, the project offers poured for the actor, and landed various roles in "Live Up To Your Name," "Welcome to Waikiki 2," "Search: WWW," "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency," and "Record of Youth."

He became consistent in showing his talent to the public no matter how small or big his roles were.

But a sudden shift happened in his career after he was confirmed to play Poong Woon Ho in the Netflix movie "20th Century Girl" in 2022.

Just a week after the film's release, Byeon Woo Seok made headlines in local and international media. It marked the beginning of his increasing popularity as an actor.

Here's What's in Store For Byeon Woo Seok This 2023

This 2023, the model-actor is already booked for a number of projects. He will start his activities this March 17 with his first-ever fan meeting in Japan titled "Special White Day."

He is expected to meet his fans at Yamano Hall in Tokyo.

In the same month, the celebrity will make his silver screen comeback through "Soul Mate," alongside Kim Dam Mi and Jeon So Nee.

In addition, following his drama "Moonshine" in 2022, Byeon Woo Seok is returning with a new series this year. He will share the frame with "Squid Game" and "All of Us Are Dead" actress Lee Yoo Mi in the forthcoming sequel of the 2017 rom-com drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon."

Different from his previous role, the "Record of Youth" actor is rumored to transform into a villain in "Strong Girl Nam Soon." Though there's no confirmed date yet for its release, fans are already anticipating Byeon Woo Sook's return to the small screen.
