‘Dr Romantic 3’ Release Date Set in THIS Month

After years of waiting, finally, SBS gears up for the premiere of "Dr. Romantic 3" starting with the drama's release date.

Starring Han Seok Kyu, Le Sung Kyung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and more, the series will continue featuring the amazing stories of genius surgeon Teacher Kim as well as the highs and lows of the staff and patients at the humble hospital called Doldam Hospital.

After the broadcast network confirms the cast lineup and began the production, finally, the long wait is over for viewers as the smash hit medical K-drama has released its scheduled debut.

'Dr. Romantic 3' Release Date

Following the confirmation of the show's renewal, viewers are looking forward to seeing who among the cast will reprise their roles as well as new faces joining the series.

Interestingly as for the update of "Dr. Romantic 3" SBS announced that the beloved medical K-drama will premiere on April 14.

Apart from this, it is also expected that the series deliver a soaring viewership rating like in its previous seasons.

To recall, season 1, which has 20 episodes, achieved an all-time high of 27.6 percent while season 2 garnered the highest rating of 27.1 percent for its whole run.

Apart from ratings, lead star Han Seok Kyu bagged Best Actor at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards for his performance in "Dr. Romantic."

'Dr. Romantic 3 Cast': Sequel Features New and Returning Actors

As mentioned, "Dr. Romantic 3" lead stars include Han Seok Kyu, who will continue to play the role of Teacher Kim or Kim Sa Bu.

He is the backbone of Doldam Hospital and used to be one of the top-notch doctors at a well-known city-based hospital but chose to work at a humble institution after an incident.

At Doldam, he meets junior doctors Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae, played by Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung.

Joining them is Kim Joo Hun, who also appeared in the second season as Park Min Guk.

Completing the cast of the Doldam Hospital doctor team is Shin Dong Wook as Bae Moon Jung, Yoo Na Moo as emergency room doctor Jung In Soo, Byun Woo Min as anesthesiologist Nam Do Il and So Ju Yeon as Yoon Ah Reum.

Meanwhile, the nurse team will comprise by Kim Min Jae, Bora, and Jin Kyung as the head nurse.

Interestingly, the "Dr. Romantic 3" cast also welcomes new characters. Doldam Hospital's youngest doctor will be played by Lee Shin Young, who also appeared in "Crash Landing on You" and "Rookie Cops."

In addition, viewers will also get to see Lee Hong Nae as the season's military doctor.

He appeared in "Uncanny Counter," "Inspector Koo" and "The King of the Desert."
