'Who Are You: School 2015'

Nam Joo Hyuk played the role of Han Yi An in "Who Are You: School 2015," a school athlete.

The story focuses on the twins, Eun Byul and Eun Bi (Kim So Hyun), who are separated and live completely different lives. Eun Bi spends her life at a home for orphans and is bullied at school, while Eun Byul is adopted and becomes a popular student.

'Cheese in the Trap'

Nam Joo Hyuk joined Kim Go Eun and Park Hae Jin in this romance series. It features the delicate relationship between Hong Seol, a female university student, and her senior Yoo Jung.

Though it was a supporting role, Nam Joo Hyuk was able to gain experience and had the chance to work with the drama's talented cast. It was also his first time working with Lee Sung Kyung.

'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo'

In 2016, Nam Joo Hyuk played one of the princes in the megahit K-drama "Scarlet Heart Ryeo." He immersed himself in the character of Wang Wook.

The drama tells the story of a 21st-century woman, Hae Soo (IU), who is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty in the body of a 16-year-old girl.

From there, she witnesses love, politics, rivalry, and established friendships between the handsome princes, who are all vying for the throne.

'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo'

In the same year, the heartthrob's big break came as he landed a major role to headline "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," alongside model-actress Lee Sung Kyung.

This rom-com drama follows the coming-of-age story of a group of university athletes, who are fighting for their dreams, experiencing and finding love in the process, and growing every step of the way.

'Twenty Five, Twenty One'

Jumping to 2022, "Twenty Five, Twenty One" marked Nam Joo Hyuk's comeback drama following his two-year hiatus.

This is a heartfelt South Korean drama where he played the role of Baek Yi Jin, a former wealthy son, who lost it all after the country suffered from financial crisis. Opposite him is Kim Tae Ri, who portrayed the character of Na Hee Do, a young aspiring fencer.

The model-actor wowed the viewers again with his impressive acting throughout this series.

Though he is about to enter the military soon, Nam Joo Hyuk prepared a new drama, "Vigilante," for his fans to enjoy this year.
