With a variety of K-dramas airing this 2023, broadcast networks and streaming platform introduces not just exciting series but also more Korean rising actors set to be the next "It" celebs in Hallyu.

These up-and-coming male stars have major similarities. Apart from their stunning visuals to hit projects, they definitely have a charm of a soon-to-be-sought-after male lead in K-drama.

Moon Sang Min

The 22-year-old heartthrob has appeared in various series as a supporting actor but landed his first ever major K-drama "Under the Queen's Umbrella," alongside top stars Kim Hye Soo, Kim Hae Sook, and more.

Moon Sang Min played the role of one of the Queen's grand princes who transformed into the next Crown Prince after his brother mysteriously passed away.

Besides his phenomenal acting, viewers also loved his chemistry with Kim Hye Soo, who played his on-screen mother Queen Im Hwa Ryung. Their mother and son tandem were lauded by viewers hence the soaring viewership rating.

At the time, "Under the Queen's Umbrella" scored its first double-digit rating in episode 6 and concluded the first season with a 16.852 percent average nationwide.

As for Moon Sang Min, he is set to return to the small screen with the upcoming webtoon-based series "Duty After School" and is also in talks to headline a Netflix K-drama "Wedding Impossible" with "Money Heist: Korea" star Jeon Jong Seo.

Rookie actor Shin Hyun Seung made his debut in 2021 after joining the cast of the Naver TV series "Be My Boyfriend," playing the lead actor Lee Seung Min, the university's campus crush.

From youth-oriented drama to another, he continues to play the lead star Jaimie in Netflix's "So Not Worth It" with Park Se Wan, GOT&'s YoungJae, and more.

However, amid his various on-screen appearance, his remarkable appearance is playing the role of Yoon Jae Hyun in "Shooting Stars" with viewers enjoying his team-up with Lee Si Woo.

It was then followed by hit K-dramas like "Adamas" where he took the role of Ji Sung's junior writer Lee Dong Rim and the series "Behind Every Star" and played Joo Hyun Young's love interest.

Interestingly, Shin Hyun Seung will make a comeback as a supporting actor in the highly anticipated thriller mystery series "Han River" with Kwon Sang Woo, Kim Hee Won, and Lee Sang Yi.

Lee Chae Min

The 22-year-old actor is under the agency Gold Medalist, which houses stars like Seo Ye Ji and more.

Debuting in 2021 in the tvN thriller series "High Class," he made heads turn to play the skilled badminton star in "Love All Play" headlined by Chae Jong Hyeop.

As for his new projects this 2023, Lee Chae Min appeared in the recently concluded "Crash Course in Romance" playing the role of one of the students.

In addition to his future projects, the rookie actor will also join the cast of "See You in My 19th Life."
