Kim Tae Ri's Breakthrough To Stardom
In 2016, Kim Tae Ri took the entertainment industry by storm as she made her film debut in the sapphic erotica "The Handmaiden."
In the movie, she played the role of a maidservant who works for a Japanese princess to later steal all her fortune.
With her impeccable performance, Kim Tae Ri received numerous nods as Best Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Buil Film Awards and more.
Kim Tae Ri then starred in various dramas including "Entourage," "Little Forest," "Space Sweepers" and more. However, it wasn't until 2022 that she received her much deserved popularity.
The actress transformed into a fencer in the youth romance series "Twenty Five, Twenty One" with Nam Joo Hyuk, which became one of the K-Drama sensations of 2022.
Kim Tae Ri's International Success With 'Twenty Five, Twenty One'
The 31-year-old actress gave a sound performance as Na Hee Do in the drama "Twenty Five, Twenty One."
During its run, Kim Tae Ri dominated the charts for eight consecutive weeks. Her transformation received praises from fans and critics around the world, saying that no one could ever pull off the role other than the actress.

In fact, the series elevated the recognition for Kim Tae Ri who is now dubbed as the new "Nation's First Love."
In addition to that, "Twenty Five, Twenty One" also led to an increased interest in fencing, the sport which the character, played by Kim Tae Ri, plays.
Kim Tae Ri's 'Alien,' 'The Devil,' More
After "Twenty Five, Twenty One," Kim Tae Ri made her silver screen comeback with "Alien" alongside Kim Woo Bin, Ryu Jun Yeol and more.
In the film, she plays the role of a powerful goddess who uses high quality guns to take down aliens from an unknown world. The film topped the box office with a gross of 12 million USD.
While the film focused on the characters in the modern world, "Alien Part 2" will depict the lives of Taoists who travel through time and space to retrieve the divine sword.
"Alien Part 2" is scheduled to hit the screen within 2023. In addition to that, Kim Tae Ri is scheduled to headline the drama "The Devil" which will air in June.
Moreover, Kim Tae Ri was also cast to lead the upcoming series "Jeong Nyeon" with rising actress Shin Ye Eun. Details regarding the work haven't been announced yet so stay tuned for further updates!
