Ahn Jae Hyun Criticized For Poor Acting Ahead of Drama Comeback

Three years after hiatus, Ahn Jae Hyun is officially making his long-awaited drama return. However, ahead of his comeback, the actor is being criticized for his poor acting.

In a report cited by a media outlet on March 1, Ahn Jae Hyun is making a buzz before his small screen return as he is being criticized by some for his poor acting. Attention is focused on whether he will be able to save the weekend drama crisis once his series starts airing. 

For the first time in three years, Ahn Jae Hyun is set to lead the upcoming drama "The Real One Has Appeared." It depicts the story of a single mother who enters a contractual fake relationship with a man who doesn't believe in marriage. 

Ahn Jae Hyun takes the role of Gong Tae Kyung, a talented and handsome obstetrician, and gynecologist who is convinced not to get married. Opposite him is Baek Jin Hee who will transform as Oh Yeon Doo, a charming and easygoing language instructor who is also a rising star in her field. 

Originally, Kwak Si Yang was cast in the role but declined in the end due to schedule problems. Eventually, the production chose Ahn Jae Hyun as the new lead.

Unfortunately, ahead of his return, Ahn Jae Hyun is being dragged into a controversy over his acting skills in his previous dramas. Based on the report, in "Into the World Again ," which featured comedy, the male star made some viewers uncomfortable throughout the series due to his clumsy performances and rigid facial expressions, robot-like movements, and frustrating vocalization.

Meanwhile, in the series "Blood," Ahn Jae Hyun also failed to show his presence as a leading actor, and his acting skills were on the cutting board as he was noticed for lacking weight in a leading role. As a result, the ratings of both series also declined, leaving him with poor performance.

The heartthrob was loved in his entertainment show appearances such as "New Journey to the West," "Spring Camp," and "Athletic Genius Ahn Jae Hyun, but failed to achieve any significant results as an actor. It is a result that concerns the viewers.

In particular, KBS2 weekend dramas have not surpassed the highest ratings of 30 percent from "The Present is Beautiful" to "The Three Old Siblings" and have only poor results. Many are expecting that Ahn Jae Hyun's "The Real One Has Appeared" will be a hit and surpass the previous highest drama rating record. 

Ahn Jae Hyun must prove his ability as an actor through this project. Even if he was embroiled in controversy over his acting skills, it is still difficult to guarantee his status as an actor. Viewers are looking forward to his growth.

"The Real One Has Appeared" is scheduled to air this coming March 25 on KBS.
