Han So Hee once again stuns the public after Lotte Chilsung Beverage introduces the "My Name" star as their newest brand ambassador for the soju drink Chum Churum.

The 28-year-old actress dazzled, showing off her stunning beauty and unique charms as the brand teased the public with the top star's goddess-like visuals in their new advertisement.

Han So Hee took over the position of BLACKPINK's Jennie after the K-pop star was selected as the brand ambassador in 2021. However, a media outlet says that the actress was chosen to be the newest model for the soju brand because of one reason.

Han So Hee Takes Over BLACKPINK Jennie's Position as Chum Churum Ambassador Because of Low Sales?

As cited by a report, the Korean news outlet, Salgoonews, revealed the reason the brand changed the brand ambassador of Chum Churum following its rebranding.

To recall, the soju brand change its image to cater to the younger crowd, through BLACKPINK's Jennie's influence.

After two years, Han So Hee took over the position and is now captivating the public with her charm, gracing Chum Churum's CFs and various marketing campaigns.

In a report cited by News1 Korea, an official from Lotte Chilsung Beverage revealed why they tapped the actress as their newest muse.

It was because of Han So Hee's "confident and bright image" that is appealing to the new advertising concept that will "further capture the hearts of soju lovers."

However, Salgoonews mentioned in one of their reports that it was due to the plummeting sales revenue.

"We decided to switch the advertising model from Jennie to Han So Hee after two years. Initially, the brand chose Jennie to refresh its image, but sales revenue gradually decreased over time," a brand's official said, as cited by the outlet.

Moreover, the brand says that the change is quite "unusual" given that their former brand ambassadors had their "advertising contracts for a long time."

However, different outlets claimed that the information was inaccurate since the revenue during BLACKPINK's Jennie as the ambassador, shows no decline, and instead, the sales garnered an increase in figures.

For the third quarter of 2022, the brand's revenue increased by 14.9%, adding that the K-pop star's image helped boost the brand's popularity.

To recall, Chum Churum's female model exudes a fun and charming personality. It includes Lee Young Ah back in 2006 as the brand's first model, followed by "Boys Over Flowers" star Gu Hye Sun in 2007.

In mid-2007, the position was taken over by Lee Hyori and became the brand's longest-running model, which continued until 2012.

At this time, the brand slowly changes its image, getting Hyolyn, Goo Hara, and HyunA as their endorsers and representing the top girl groups.

From the trio, Chum Churum selected Jo In Sung and Go Joon Hee in 2014, and was then followed by top star Shin Min Ah in the same year.

Interestingly, after two years, Bae Suzy was introduced as their newest model that reportedly boosted the brand's sales.
