Jang Hyuk Talks About His ‘Amazing Teamwork’ With Jang Nara in Upcoming Series ‘Family’
Besides the much-awaited sequel returning to the small screen, one of the surprising team up this 2023 is an action-comedy K-drama starring Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara.
The duo will headline "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" where they are set to play husband and wife.
In an interview cited by a media outlet, the 46-year-old actor spoke about his experience being reunited with Jang Nara for the fourth time.
Moreover, he also discussed the factors why he accepted the offer to star in the upcoming series "Family: The Unbreakable Bond."
Jang Hyuk on Playing Secret Agent in 'Family: The Unbreakable Bond'
The award-winning star revealed that he agreed to become part of the series because of how " intrigued" by the drama's genre.
Moreover, Jang Hyuk says he is also "captivated by the character of Kwon Do Hoon" who needs to keep his identity secret in order to protect his family.
In "Family: The Unbreakable Bond," Kwon Do Hoon is an ordinary office worker by day but in reality, he is a black agent at National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Interestingly, Do Hoon poses a different personality around his wife, Kang Yoo Ra, played by Jang Nara.
She is a dotting mother and a loving wife who works for a housekeeping team struggling for their family.
Set to be released on April 17 via TVING and tvN, "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" cast includes Chae Jung An, Kim Nam Hee, veteran actor Lee Soon Jae, and more.
In addition, Jang Hyuk also hints about what to expect in the upcoming series.

He says that "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" consists of various genres like comedy, action, and family.
Moreover, he shared that viewers would get to see "great chemistry" not just with Jang Nara but also with the cast.
Jang Hyuk on Having Successful Team Up With Jang Nara
The action comedy series is Jang Hyuk's comeback after starring in the historical K-drama "Bloody Hearts."
Interestingly, this is also his fourth project with Jang Nara whom he previously co-starred in the series "Successful Story of a Bright Girl" in 2002.
According to the actor he and Jang Nara have built a strong chemistry which makes them "created a beautiful harmony in the show."
In addition, the actors went on to praise the 42-year-old beauty, pointing out how she can "seamlessly blend that into the story" and saying that she does a "good job of capturing the realistic part of the story."
With their numerous projects together, it appears that he and Jang Nara have been comfortable around each other, which makes them trust and "react naturally to each other's actions during the shooting.
Besides "Successful Story of a Bright Girl" and "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara both starred in the 2014 MBC Drama Festival "Old Goodbye," and the smash hit rom-com K-drama "Fated to Love You."
