After two years of waiting, finally, the long wait is over for fans to see Lee Je Hoon reprising his iconic role in "Taxi Driver 2."

Definitely one of the much-awaited sequels this 2023, the Rainbow Taxi team is back with a series of new thrilling missions. 

Based on the popular webtoon "The Deluxe Taxi," the 16-part episode K-drama depicts the story of a former special forces officer who was recruited by a CEO to help him avenge the victims that the law failed to protect. 

What prompted the anti-hero to join the secret organization is his dark past. It was after he came home from the military and found his mother, brutally murdered by a serial killer. 

Interestingly, the members of the group also experienced a devastating story caused by perpetrators. 

With one goal in mind, the group help victims with their revenge. 

As the action crime series reaches its second half, here are the things you shouldn't miss on "Taxi Driver 2."

The Squad

Besides the intriguing topic tackled in the series, viewers were drawn to the chemistry between the Rainbow Taxi squad. 

As mentioned, Chairman Jang Sung Chul, played by Kim Eui Sung, the founder of the secret organization and recruited Kim Do Gi, portrayed by Lee Je Hoon to spearhead the mission.

Joining him is Pyo Ye Jin who took the role of tech goddess Ahn Go Eun. 

Moreover, the group wouldn't be complete without Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram as mechanics Choi Kyung Goo) and Park Jin Eon. 

The Disguise

In every episode, "Taxi Driver 2" features different social problems, may it be bullying, fraud, human trafficking, and more. 

Interestingly, Kim Do Gi immersed himself in his mission and often disguise himself to track down the criminals. 

From I.T genius to a student and even a monk, Kim Do Gi can be whoever he thinks to have a successful task. 

The New Villain

During the first season, "Taxi Driver" showcase the female antagonist, through Cha Ji Yeon's role as the syndicate boss Baek Sung Mi. 

Meanwhile, as for the second season, the SBS series introduces a new villain through Shin Jae Ha. 

In the action crime series, he played On Ha Joon, who disguises himself as one of the new drivers of the Rainbow Taxi company but leads a secret organization that targets the downfall of Kim Do Gi's team. 

The Cameo Roles

Last on the things that viewers should look forward to watching "Taxi Driver 2" is the special appearances. 

Recently, SBS dropped still cuts and a trailer featuring Namgoong Min. 

He appeared on the show as the eccentric attorney, Chun Ji Hoon from "One Dollar Lawyer."

In addition, "The Penthouse" villain Kim So Yeon will also be joining in the finale episode.
