Lee Dong Hwi expresses his desire to work with Lee Je Hoon in the future. 

The versatile star was recently interviewed to talk about his recently concluded K-drama "Big Bet 2."

The 8 part-episode action crime series focuses on the life of legendary businessman Cha Mu Sik played by the veteran actor Choi Min Sik. 

Without much fortune and connections, he managed to become the king of casinos in the Philippines. 

However, amid his success, Min Shik gets caught up in a murder case, making him face the ultimate challenge of his life. 

In the action crime series, Lee Dong Hwi took the role of Choi Min Shik's right hand, Yang Jung Pal. 

Lee Dong Hwi Reveals Why He Wants to Work with Lee Je Hoon

At the season finale, "Big Bet 2" featured a special cameo of Lee Je Hoon, and took on the role of Jang Jun. 

"I was wondering who would play the role of Jang Jun," he said, adding that he thinks that the "Taxi Driver 2" star did it perfectly. 

While this is only a brief appearance in the action crime series, Lee Dong Hwi, who is known as one of the close friends of Lee Je Hoon, says he dreams of working with him in the future. 

In 2020, Lee Dong Hwi and Lee Je Hoon were spotted supporting the "Reply 1988" star Ryu Jun Yeol during his exhibit. 

The duo joined EXO's Suho, and Lee Hyun Wook, attending the actor's first photo exhibit. 

Currently, Lee Je Hoon reprised his role as the beloved anti-hero named Kim Do Gi in the hit SBS K-drama "Taxi Driver 2."

In addition, he is set to headline an upcoming action movie "Escape" with Goo Kyo Hwan. 

As for Lee Dong Hwi, he will join the cast of the highly anticipated sequel "The Roundup: Punishment" with Ma Dong Seok and is set to play a lead role in the film "Possession" with Kang Dong Won and Esom.

During his interview, he was also asked about the possibility of "Big Bet" returning for a third installment. 

Lee Dong Hwi says that he is not sure if the officials will release another season since "there's no framework for season 3."

Interestingly, "Big Bet" is Choi Min Shik's return to the small screen after 25 years. 

The veteran actor's last K-drama was the 1997 romance series "Love and Separation" with Jo Min Soo. 

As noted by a media outlet, he says that working in a series is very different from filming for movies. 

According to the veteran star, working in a series has a lot of advantages since it could show the "character's narrative in great detail."

"Big Bet" first premiered in December 2022 under Hulu, followed by the second season in February 2023.
