Lee Dong Hwi Refuses to Answer Questions About Girlfriend Jung Ho Yeon – Here’s Why

Lee Dong Hwi apologized for avoiding answering questions relating to his girlfriend Jung Ho Yeon.

The versatile star graced the interview for his upcoming movie "Maybe We Broke Up" along with fellow lead star Jung Eun Chae of "Anna."

During the chat with the media, the 37-year-old actor politely refused to respond to questions about his relationship with the "Squid Game" star.

In the interview, Lee Dong Hwi was careful to answer personal questions, especially with his relationship status.

He said that he wanted to "focus only on stories related to the movie" adding that in the past interviews, his personal activities becomes the highlight rather than his works

"Personally, I think it's rude to the people involved, and I'm sorry it's personal," he said, apologizing to the media about his decision not to answer personal topics.

Lee Dong Hwi stars in the soon-to-be-released romance-drama movie "Maybe We Broke Up" which follows the story of college sweethearts Jun Ho and Ahn Young.

In the upcoming film, Ah Yeong, played by Jung Eun Chae is making the best out of the situation however, she feels like her boyfriend, Jun Ho, portrayed by Lee Dong Hwi is wasting his time and making his examination as his excuse to get his life back on track.

Because of the complication in their relationship, they have decided to break up.

This led Jun Ho to finally start working and was hired at his friend's shop while Ah Yeong is making her career as a realtor.

In one of her interviews, as obtained by Herald Pop, she called her boyfriend a "sunbae" or senior since he has been an actor for so many years.

"Since he's also an actor, he's a good senior, a good friend, and a good person. He cheers me on a lot, and he worries for me as well. He's sort of like a dad," Jung Ho Yeaon explained.

Moreover, Lee Dong Hwi's girlfriend said that the actor is "so proud" of her success after landing a role in "Squid Game."
