Many K-Drama stars gained popularity for their glowing image and bright personalities. All stars bask in their glory as their works also enjoy great successes.

However, this doesn't mean that all artists had great experiences growing up as some of them had to deal with their own personal struggles.

Here are five actors who were once victims of bullying. Keep on reading.

Kim Sae Ron

Kim Sae Ron made her acting debut at such a young age. As a young child actress, she had to juggle her career and studies.

Unfortunately, this was weaponized by her peers as she was seen as a celebrity and not as a student. Her bullies would often call her names and curse her.

Kim Sae Ron also experienced walking home barefoot after some of her classmates stole her shoes. During her birthday party, no one showed up, which made her feel even worse.

Yoo In Na

Like Kim Sae Ron, Yoo In Na was a celebrity during her time as a student. Due to this, the latter was favored by her teachers.

This caused jealousy among her classmates that made her become a target of bullying. Yoo In Na would always be singled out and her bullies would order her around, making her do the dishes at the cafeteria.

Park Hyung Sik

As for Park Hyung Sik, he never experienced being bullied during her student years, not until he became an idol trainee.

In her previous company, his fellow trainees would always ostracize him as they believed that the singer-actor was receiving favorable treatment from the company due to his close relationship with their manager.

However, Park Hyung Sik clarified that he was only seeking advice from their manager who was more than willing to listen to his worries.

Because of the anxiety he has experienced by being a lone wolf, Park Hyung Sik suffered from depression.

Kim Hieora

In the drama "The Glory," Kim Hieora transformed into one of Song Hye Kyo's perpetrators. However, that is not the case in real life.

Kim Hieora is actually a victim of bullying in the past. Because she inherited her mother's almond eyes that protrude a lot, the actress had been bullied a lot for how she looked.

She would always be the target of name-calling, which totally ruined her self-esteem. Thankfully, Kim Hieora was able to find comfort in music and acting.

In particular, her unique features are what earned her the role of Lee Sa Ra in the smash hit revenge series "The Glory."

IU

The multi-awarded singer-actress Lee Ji Eun, more professionally known as IU, has been the target of malicious comments and false information for many years.

She was also the topic for body-shaming and because the cyberbullying is so intense, the "Hotel del Luna" star had to call for legal help in order to put an end to the haters.

Like any other form of bullying, this caused the actress distress, making her suffer from depression and various eating disorders.
