‘Stealer: The Treasure Keeper’ Episode 1-2: Joo Won Transforms Into Undercover Thief
Joo Won works together with Lee Joo Woo and Jo Han Chul for the first time in the brand new tvN action drama "Stealer: The Treasure Keeper." He transforms into an undercover thief who works alongside the police to protect history.

Choi Min Woo Discovers Joseon Coins
"Stealer: The Treasure Keeper" Episode 1 introduces the black market and the dangerous things that could possibly happen within its surroundings.
Jang Tae In (Jo Han Chul), a captain detective at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, is a famous drug officer who is transferred to the cultural heritage team when he discovers the drugs stored in faux artifacts.
Unfortunately, they were all real and he smashed them to bits for naught. At a television show, officers Choi Min Woo (Lee Joo Woo) and Shin Chang Hoon (Kim Jae Won) watch as contestants try to earn coins by selling their valuable artifacts.
After the show, thieves are on the lookout in hopes to steal the artifacts that are worth more than a thousand dollars. Thankfully, the two reputable detectives were quick on their feet.
They successfully arrested the thieves with the help of their captain who arrived at the scene during the height of their fight; Choi Min Woo and Shin Chang Hoon learned that the artifacts are fake, used only to lure the bad guys.
Choi Min Woo sees the kids who tried to sell their coins on the show. She offers to buy the kids some black bean noodles who in return give her the coins.

The officer tells them to keep the coins out of pity. Unbeknownst to her, it is one of the Joseon coins that Chairman Yang (Jang Gwang), an antique collector, is desperate to find.
Choi Min Woo Meets Hwang Dae Myung
Choi Min Woo meets Hwang Dae Myung (Joo Won), a member of a special investigation unit, to look for a stolen book called Jikji Volume One. Sadly, their differences hinder them from working together.
At Institute of History and Culture Director Choi Song Cheol's (Jung Eun Pyo) home, a mysterious masked man arrives to take down the director who's suspected of corruption.
It turns out that the thief in disguise is Hwang Dae Myung, the same officer who's working with the cultural asset recovery team.
Karma Learns More About Skunk
The following day, the team is faced with a new case involving Goltong, a group of thieves who steal illegally obtained antiques.
They also introduce the Magicians, a group of experts who help hide their treasures. Phoenixes are personal buyers while Goldo is a thief who specializes in stealing artifacts.
Choi Min Woo, on the other hand, is focused on a thief called Skunk-a man in black also known as Hwang Dae Myung-who leaves a foul-smelling tear gas behind before fleeing his targets.
The cultural asset recovery team sees Skunk's secret storage unit that homes special artifacts. Their captain reveals that Skunk turns all of the items over to the authorities.
Choi Min Woo then asks why they're still trying to arrest Skunk if he's helping the team. Captain Jang then says that he's still a thief.
Skunk Reminisces About His Past
At Skunk's hideout, he and Ms. Lee discover that Chairman Yang is killed by Jo Hin Dal (Kim Jae Chul).
However, all of the surveillance footage has been erased. The cultural asset recovery team also learns that Jo Hin Dal, who previously turned himself over for stealing, leaves the police station while dressed as an officer.
Skunk reminisces about his memories with his father who inspired his love for lost artifacts. He also learned how to make his smelly gasses through him.
At the end of the episode, Skunk returns to Chairman Yang's home where he is trapped in a room after Captain Jang corners him. A gun is pointed to his head and Skunk puts his hands up, raising tension.
