"QueenMaker" took the world by storm as Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri's K-drama delivered a unique storyline about "womance" and how an ordinary person, driven by passion, conquered a male-dominated world.

Premiered on April 14, the 11-part episode series focuses on politics, power, corruption, and more, with the main characters leaving viewers tuned in at every episode.

Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri's team-up did not disappoint viewers as they illustrated a unique friendship as they underwent a difficult journey.

However, fans were also in awe of the scene stealer, Kim Sae Byeok, as she plays Eun Chae Ryung, the EunSung group's heiress and the wife of mayoral candidate Baek Jae Min, played by Ryu Soo Young.

Who is Eun Chae Ryung in 'QueenMaker'?

The political K-drama introduced Kim Sae Byeok's character as Chairman Son's youngest daughter.

She works as the managing director of the Eunsung Group and is known for her short temper.

In one scene, "QueenMaker" depicted her character as someone with intermittent explosive disorder (IED), hence why she is having a hard time coping with her anger and emotional issues.

At one point, Hwnag Do Hee, known as the EunSung group's fixer," had to cover up her power-tripping behaviors, such as abusing her employees.

However, the media can't help but notice the similarity between the "QueenMaker" character and a real-life personality.

Is Eun Chae Ryung Based on Cho Hyun Ah's Story?

As obtained by a media outlet, Insight Korea pointed out the resemblance between the fictional character and Korean Air heiress Heather Cho, also known as Cho Hyun Ah.

In 2014, the chaebol's daughter made headlines after she reportedly got furious and threw a fit on an airplane after she was served nuts in a bag instead of first class's customary bowl.

She insulted the cabin crew, questioned the standards of the company, and assaulted the crew as she ordered the employee to get off the plane.

At the time, the public was furious about how she treated her employees, criticized her for her arrogance, and even mocked her for going "nuts" over the pathetic situation.

On the other hand, the scene in "QueenMaker" where Eun Chae Ryung bowed in front of the media and protestors depicted a similar instance when Cho Hyun Ah almost did the same thing.

As mentioned by a media outlet, the heiress clasped her hands and bowed before a crowd of reporters as she apologized for her unacceptable actions.

Due to this, the heiress resigned from her position and was sentenced one year in prision in February 2015 for obstructing aviation security.
