Lee Je Hoon spoke about his longtime friendship with Bae Suzy during his appearance on tvN's "You Quiz on the Block."

The actor recently concluded his hit K-drama "Taxi Driver 2," in which he played the role of anti-hero Kim Do Gi.

In his interview with hosts Yoo Ja Suk and Jo Se Ho, the South Korean heathrob recalled and shared his unique friendship with the singer-actress.

Lee Je Hoon Reveals Feeling Like Ahjussi Around Bae Suzy

Among Lee Je Hoon's first hit movies is the 2012 melodrama "Architecture 101." He starred alongside Bae Suzy and played the younger version of Uhm Tae Woong.

During his guest appearance on "Yoo Quiz on the Block," Lee Je Hoon recalled the first time when he tried to be friends with the actress.

Pointing out their 10-year age gap, the actor admitted that he felt like an "ahjussi" or a "middle-aged man" around the actress, so he tried to make things comfortable he "tried to become closer by joking around."

Lee Je Hoon even cited a scenario as he recalled his conversation with his co-star.

"I'd ask, 'What kind of ice cream do you like? What flavor do you like?' I was thinking, maybe Suzy thought, What's wrong with this Ahjussi?'' He shared.

As mentioned, the 38-year-old actor and Bae Suzy both starred in the hit movie "Architecture 101" and portrayed the roles of young Han Ga In and Uhm Tae Woong.

Interestingly, it is the idol-actress' first big screen appearance after headlining "Dream High."

When asked if they are still friends up to this day, the actor mentioned that he sent her a text to show his support for Bae Suzy's drama "Anna" and "binge-watched it as soon as it released."

Moreover, he shared that he would contact her during the holidays and on special occasions.

Apart from his interview with "Yoo Quiz on the Block," Lee Je Hoon once spoke about his 10-year age gap with Bae Suzy.

In 2017, during his interview with the Busan International Film Festival, he shared his working relationship with the actress.

"When we were filming the movie, I didn't want Suzy to feel a generation gap with me, so I tried my best to appear young and approachable," he said, as obtained by a media outlet, adding that despite their age gap, the duo needed to portray same age characters.

Moreover, Lee Je Hoon thinks that Bae Suzy "became very mature" since she appeared in the movie, which helped her "widen her acting spectrum."

At the time, he expressed his desire to work again with the idol-actress in a different genre.

What's Next for Lee Je Hoon?

As soon as "Taxi Driver 2" aired, SBS confirmed that the action-crime series will return for another sequel. However, despite the fact that "Taxi Driver" Season 3 is in the works, the cast lineup and target release date are yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Lee Je Hoon will star in another series helmed by "Rampant" and "Confidential Assignment 1" director Kim Sung Hoon. Lee Je Hoon will transform into a detective in "Chief Inspector 1963" under MBC.
