MONSTA X Hyungwon To Make Cameo in Romantic-Comedy Series 'Oh! Youngshim'
Ahead of its release, it was announced on May 9 that MONSTA X member Hyungwon is confirmed to have a special appearance in ENA Channel's "Oh! Youngshim."
The romantic-comedy drama "Oh! Youngshim" tells the story of Young Sim and Kyung Tae, who are childhood friends and get separated for a long time, 20 years later they meet again and feelings between them start to develop.
Super Junior's Lee Dong Hae, Song Ha Yoon, and Lee Min Jae are collaborating for the first time in this drama. Attention is focused on what role Hyungwon will portray in the series.

"Oh! Youngshim" is set to meet the viewers starting May 15 on ENA Channel and Genie TV. It will occupy the Monday-Tuesday slots at 10 p.m. (KST).

Meanwhile, Hyungwon will embark on a new career path as he is about to debut as an actor in the forthcoming musical drama "Boss Dol Mart" (literal title). He takes the role of Jo Yi Joon, a rapper who cannot hold back his talent. He is expected to showcase a new side of his charms not just only in dancing and singing, but also in acting.
Other famous stars are confirmed to join the project namely EXO's Xiumin, "Dr. Romantic 3" actor Lee Shin Young, Choi Jung Woon, Lee Sae On, Choi Won Myeong, Kim Shana, and more.
Since this will be his first drama after a longtime, fans, and viewers are looking forward to seeing again actor Hyungwon.
"Boss Dol Mart" features the story of an idol group Thunder Boys who disbands because of an unexpected incident and takes over a failing supermarket.
According to a source, the drama is scheduled to premiere this 2023, but the specific date is yet to be announced.
Hyungwon is consistently expanding his career as an all-rounder producer and performer alongside MONSTA X members Kihyun, I.M., Shownu, Joohoney, and Minhyuk.
