KeyEast Entertainment Addresses Woo Do Hwan's Controversial Video

On May 20, following the finale episode of MBC's "Joseon Attorney," its main protagonist Woo Do Hwan uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the historical series and shared his gratitude for the project, co-stars, and staff members.

Among the clips he uploaded included a scene between him and "Joseon Attorney" co-star WJSN Bona where the duo is in bed, and where he gives her a kiss.

After the public saw the video, they expressed confusion about whether sharing the specific scene was appropriate.

Others commented that the actors were just practicing their scenes as part of their roles as the main protagonists of the drama.

Woo Do Hwan received backlash for posting the clip. After getting mixed responses, the actor immediately deleted the video.

The next day, on May 21, his agency KeyEast Entertainment was quick to address the controversy involving their actor.

According to the statement released by the agency, Woo Do Hwan uploaded the clip thinking fans and viewers who love "Joseon Attorney would want to see and be happy until the end. He shared the video after consulting with the director and producers beforehand.

After he was permitted to post it on social media, the celebrity enthusiastically shared it to thank the fans for their support.

However, he had no idea that it would turn out to be an issue for some and immediately deleted it as people were uncomfortable seeing the clip.

On the other hand, "Joseon Attorney" concluded on May 20 and recorded an average viewership rating of 2.9 percent nationwide.

Woo Do Hwan will have his immediate small screen comeback this June 9 with the action-thriller drama "Bloodhounds." It tells the journey of two young boxers joining forces with a mysterious man who was once a legend in the loan shark business.

The much-awaited series will be available on Netflix. Woo Do Hwan is set to join forces with "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" actor Lee Sang Yi in this project.
