2PM’s Chansung Proudly Talks About His Daughter: ‘She looks exactly like me’

Actor and 2PM's Chansung sat for an interview and talked about his married life and experience of being a first-time father.  

Hwang Chansung Shares Life as Actor, Husband, Father

Hwang Chansung currently plays the role of Noh Joo Wan in the rom-com series "Bora! Deborah." When asked about his wife's reaction to his character, the 2PM member said that his partner complimented his good and effective acting.

Opposite to his screen role, Hwang Chansung is hands-on in taking care of his family. He is busy juggling everything all at once, from being committed to filming to parenting. The "So I Married An-Anti Fan" star shared that once he's done with his schedule, he goes home right away and does the house chores.

He added that he rarely does anything on the weekends other than parenting and taking good care of his wife.

In 2021, Hwang Chansung confirmed his marriage to his non-celebrity girlfriend, who is eight years his senior. The newlyweds also welcomed their firstborn in July 2022.

As the conversation continued, the idol-actor shared the new things he experienced as he entered married life and building his own family.

"Marriage was a watershed moment. Since the second chapter of my life started, I have been working hard to achieve my goals."

2PM's Chansung Wants To Keep His Daughter's Life Out Of Public's Eye

Hwang Chansung described the new chapter of his life as taxing yet satisfying.

"Sometimes, I feel the burden of supporting my family as a father. A lot of things need to be considered in everything I do. When I was single, all I had to worry about was myself. Now, it is different, every decision feels heavier thinking about the effects it may cause, not just to me but also to my family."

As he continued talking about his family, the actor mentioned her daughter and wished to have a close bond with her in the future.

"She looks exactly like me. I want her to be proud and feel close to her dad when she is of an age to go to school. I wish she could recognize my efforts when she is all grown up."

Chansung also gets honest that he has no plans of showing his one-year-old daughter's life in public yet.

"I'll let her do (entertainment work) if she grows up and if she wants to."

He also mentioned declining to appear in a variety program with his daughter.

"Once you appear on screen, there's no turning back. At her age, I believe I should respect my daughter's privacy."
