Lee Kwang Soo To Star in New Crime Drama This 2023

On July 18, media outlets reported that Lee Kwang Soo might return to the spotlight with a brand new drama.

The top-notch star was cast to appear in the upcoming crime action drama "Open Murder Contract" with veteran actor Kim Mu Yeol.

To recall, Lee Kwang Soo has appeared in various huge scale dramas including "Entourage," "It's Okay, That's Love," "Dong Yi" and "Hwarang," to name a few.

He's a well-rounded actor who has curated his flawless filmography since his debut. However, Lee Kwang Soo rose to fame for his comical works and ingenious personality.

With "Open Murder Contract," he will challenge himself with the action crime drama as a citizen who was involved in a murder contract, much to fans' delight.

The drama depicts the chaotic battle between a felon who's on the loose and the authorities that plan to take him down. Things go crazy when a murder contract worth 16 million USD is placed on the head of the culprit.

Earlier this year, "Open Murder Contract" confirmed the participation of Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sun Gyun and Yoo Jae Myung.

Lee Kwang Soo's agency, King Kong by Starship, is yet to confirm the actor's attendance. However, his chance to star in the drama is high as he currently reviews the script with a positive outlook.

Furthermore, "Open Murder Contract" begins filming in November once the cast lineup has been finalized. Stay tuned for more updates.

Lee Kwang Soo To Star in New Variety Show With Kim Woo Bin

Earlier this month, tvN confirmed the reports about the new star-studded variety show produced by director Na Young Suk.

According to the network, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, EXO Doh Kyungsoo and Kim Ki Bang will star together in a new television program curated by the creator of popular shows "Earth Arcade," "Three Meals a Day" and "Journey to the West."

There's no details about the program yet. Even the concept of the whole show hasn't been disclosed to the media, which heightens the public's anticipation.

"We will announce the concept and details of the show separately once everything has been confirmed," a representative of tvN stated.

On the other hand, Lee Kwang Soo has been a long-term cast member of the popular variety show "Running Man" since 2010.
