The long wait is over for Go Hyun Jung and Nana's thriller drama "Mask Girl" as Netflix finally announced its premiere. A new set of teasers was also released, much to viewers' excitement.

'Mask Girl' Heralds Thrilling Story About Online Streamers

On July 20, the first ever teaser for Netflix's thriller drama "Mask Girl" was finally released.

The series is a webtoon-based series which follows the story of an ordinary woman who transforms into an alluring broadcast jockey at night while wearing a unique mask to hide her identity.

Led by Go Hyun Jung who plays Kim Mo Mi, things go awry when she gets unintentionally involved in a harrowing incident.

Besides the actress, After School Nana also assumes the role of Kim Mo Mi in a different timeline, raising intrigue for the character and the brand new drama.

The drama teaser begins with the titular character setting up one of her broadcast streams, dancing along to blasting music. After a while, Kim Mo Mi before a dead body while blood splatters all over her body.

A woman crying in a mask, a fist fight, a shotgun being fired and a series of montages play against the ominous soundtrack.

Moreover, the texts "three names, three murders, three lives" appear on the screen, creating tension in the atmosphere.

Focus is given to Netflix's new original drama as it offers a plethora of mixed genres in one enticing narrative. What happens to Kim Mo Mi behind her glamorous life and mask is a factor to not miss this summer.

Netflix's 'Mask Girl' Unveils Poster

Aside from the trailer, Netflix also unveiled the drama's official poster, featuring a colorful artwork that introduces the new series to prospective fans.

The poster contains Mask Girl's unsettling mask which is surrounded by abstract paintings of facial silhouettes. They're also adorned by sparkling beads that make the character's iconic mask.

In addition, the teaser poster also has gunshots all over, raising the tension and intrigue to a new level. "Mask Girl" will be helmed by "Beasts Clawing at Straws" director and screenwriter Kim Young Hoon.

To complete the main cast, Ahn Jae Hong joins the lineup as Go Hyun Jung's colleague Ju Oh Nam. Veteran star Yeom Hye Ran of "The Glory" and "The Uncanny Counter" assumes Ju Oh Nam's protective mother Kim Kyung Ja.

Catch all seven episodes of "Mask Girl" during its premiere on August 18 on Netflix.
