Upcoming K-dramas to Air on Netflix This August 2023: ‘Mask Girl,’ ‘Destined With You,’ More
As we enter the second half of the year, Netflix continues to deliver hit K-dramas one after the other.
Interestingly, the streaming giant has an amazing lineup of new K-dramas to air in August.
With just a few weeks before starting another month, viewers will get to see more entertaining series that keep everyone hooked at every episode.
'Mask Girl'
Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Mask Girl" stars Go Hyun Jung, Nana, Ahn Jae Hong and Yeon Hye Ran.
Directed by Kim Yong Hoon, the upcoming series is a comedy, drama, and thriller that depicts the story of an ordinary office worker who becomes an internet personality hiding behind a mask. Behind this lies her insecurity about herself.
However, she finds herself in the middle of ill-fated events.
Go Hyun Jung and Nana will both play the mysterious Kim Mo Mi.
Meanwhile, Ahn Jae Hong will portray the role of Ju Oh Nam, Kim Mo Mi's colleague who is interested in her.
On the other hand, Yeom Hye Ran will act as Kim Kyung Ja, Ju Oh Nam's mother.
Set to be released on August 18, "Mask Girl" will have seven episodes and premiere exclusively on Netflix.
'Behind Your Touch'
Headlined by Lee Min Ki, Han Ji Min, Suho, Joo Min Kyung, and Kim Hee Wo, the upcoming K-drama features a mix of rom-com and mystery rolled into one series.
It focuses on the life of Bong Ye Boon (Ha Ji Min), who dreams of becoming their town's veterinarian.
Living in the small town of Mujin, located in Chungjeong Province, she finds herself having a supernatural ability.

Because of her psychometric superpowers, she was able to meet Jang Kyul, (Lee Min Ki), a passionate detective and giot involved in solving the town's petty crimes.
"Behind Your Touch" will debut on August 12, airing every Saturday and Sunday via JTBC, and Netflix.
'Destined With You'
Fans are excited to see the team-up between Jo Bo Ah and SF9's Rowoon, as they play lovers in a complicated relationship.
Directed by "Voice" season 3, and "Big Bet" season 2's Nam Ki Hoon, "Destined With You" showcases a romance between Lee Hong Jo (Jo Bo Ah,) a woman who accidentally got the forbidden book.
However, she was surprised that she unintentionally opened its secrets after being sealed for 300 years.
With this, she meets the book's victim, Jang Shin Yu (Rowoon).
Slated to premiere on August 23, the 16-part episode K-drama also stars Ha Joon, Yura, and Hyun Bong Sik.
