Lee Byung Hun Sets Record Straight Regarding ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Theories
Lee Byung Hun spilled details regarding the highly anticipated "Squid Game" season 2, and dismissed the public's theories for the movie.
During his interview for the upcoming movie "Concrete Utopia," together with fellow lead stars Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young, the award-winning actor briefly talked about the comeback of the Netflix series.
Lee Byung Hun Shuts Down 'Squid Game' Season 2 Theories
As mentioned by a media outlet, Lee Byung Hun expressed how fascinated he was with the story and revealed his first impression upon reading the script.
He described director and screenwriter Hwang Dong Hyuk as a "true storyteller" for creating such an amazing plot.
"Creating something out of nothing, that's what it was," he said, adding that it was not initially planned that "Squid Game" would return for a new sequel.
"It's a show that originally wasn't intended to have a second season, so I was amazed at how fun it was," he continued.
As for the rumors circulated regarding the plot of "Squid Game" season 2, Lee Byung Hun dismissed theories made by the international media, saying that "none of them are true."
However, he didn't specify to which among these he was referring.
'Squid Game' Season 2 Predictions
The Netflix series took the world by storm after "Squid Game" dominated the platform's global chart for top 10 TV shows for months. After the first season, the public and media raised speculations regarding the premise of the upcoming sequel.
Among the biggest "Squid Game" season 2 theories raised is that Seong Gi Hoon, played by Lee Jung Jae, will return to the arena with plans to take down the operation to stop the cycle.

As mentioned by an outlet, Seong Gi Hoon might team up with police officer Hwang Jun Ho, as they share the same goal of putting an end to the deadly game.
In addition to "Squid Game" season 2 theories, Kang Sae Byeok's brother, Kang Cheol, will join the game. It can be recalled that Seong Gi Hoon fulfilled his promise to the North Korean player and made sure that her brother ended up in a nice home. It might be possible that he would join the game out of curiosity about his sister.
Another possible premise of the upcoming sequel is how Lee Byung Hun's character, Hwang In Ho, became the organization's Front Man.
To recall, directions Hwang Dong Hyuk previously mentioned that season 2 will also highlight the life of the Front Man. If this does happen, viewers will get to see more of his role unmasked.
