After a promising rating for the show's pilot episode, Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's new drama experienced a slight decrease in viewership.
In a report, Nielsen Korea cited that "My Dearest" episode 2, garnered an average nationwide rating of 4.3 percent. It is a slight downturn from its previous rating, which scored an average nationwide of 5.4 percent.
On the other hand, viewers get to watch the newest episode on August 11 via MBC and Viki for global fans.
'My Dearest' Episode 2 Recap
"My Dearest" Episode 2 featured remarkable highlights in Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae's friendship.
After the mysterious man saved Lady Yoo from an accident, he was taken aback by Jang Hyun's presence, and instead of thanking him, she got mad and walked out.
However, Lee Jang Hyun was swooned over by Yoo Gil Chae's beauty and asked his colleagues about her.

On the other hand, the palace is about to face a challenging situation after a group of foreign intruders planned an uprising against the King.
Meanwhile, Lady Yoo Gil Chae planned a situation to get closer to scholar Nam Yeon Jun, who had been her longtime crush. She pretended to not feel well, causing her to faint.
Lady Yoo attempted to kiss him, but he refused and told her that he and Lady Kyung Eun Ae are engaged. Yoo Gil Chae was hurt but was determined to be with Yeon Jun.
On the other hand, she didn't realize that Lee Jang Hyun was in the same room and heard everything about it.
She advised the noblewoman to forget about him. Although she insisted on pursuing Nam Yeon Jun, Lee Jang Hyun said that he was saving her from embarrassment and gossip from their neighbors.
In the last scene, Lady Yoo and Lee Jang Hyun both attended the wedding of a longtime couple.
In the latter part of the celebration, a man came and announced some surprising news. He revealed that his majesty was taken by foreign intruders.
