Park Seo Joon Breaks Silence About Attitude Controversy

Park Seo Joon became the most talked-about star in various media reports beginning this August. He was embroiled in an attitude controversy after refusing to wear a couple headband during the stage greeting of his upcoming film "Concrete Utopia," and the alleged harassment he experienced from a fan.

On August 7, Park Seo Joon finally expressed his feelings through a fan cafe post, in which the message was only exclusively visible to regular members of the club.

The actor said that he is reaching out to be mindful of anyone who might have been affected and hurt.

According to the "Itaewon Class" lead star, he was surprised when he learned about the issues, knowing that his fans might be even more distressed than he is.

After reading the news, he immediately decided to address the issues. He believed that the fan cafe might be the best place for him to speak.

Park Seo Joon Shares Sentiment Over Fan Who Forcefully Hugged Him

Detailing the recent incident on August 5, the actor said that during the stage greeting, he was unaware of the intrusion. He then found himself embraced by someone.

"She smelled a lot of alcohol so I thought that person made a mistake. I was taken aback but put in the effort to wrap up the situation on a good note since she was not the only person at the theater."

This was the fan who allegedly harassed the actor as she forcefully hugged him without his permission.

Park Seo Joon continued:

"Even my security team expressed their apologies for not intervening due to the ongoing event, but I reassured them it was alright. There's no need for concern."

Park Seo Joon Clears Misunderstanding About Refusing to Wear 'Headband'

The "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" star also explained the fan service issue after he refused to wear the headband.

Park Seo Joon said he sweats profusely whenever he goes to stage greeting events.

Given that his fans prefer his hair styled in various ways, the heartthrob decided to have it up that day for ease of managing sweat.

"My hair had an immense amount of hair spray applied to hold it in place, to an extent my hair became hard like a helmet. But in this condition, placing anything on my hair causes significant scalp discomfort."

Furthermore, Park Seo Joon addressed the misunderstandings stating that it might sound like an excuse, but fans are aware that he would put on that hairband without hesitation.

People say that he put Park Bo Young in an awkward situation by making her hold the headband, but the actor thought that it was not his.

"I thought her fan gave the headband to her so I thought the fan would be mad if I take what was Park Bo Young's. But I think there was a misunderstanding."

He also clarified the rumors of discord with the actress, stating that they shared no discomfort and emphasized their commitment to fulfilling their promotion schedules.

Park Seo Joon ended his message by giving assurance to fans.

"Your presence keeps me strong. There's no fear when we're together. Please don't let the issues disturb you. Sharing these sentiments should help ease my discomfort."
