‘Not Others’ Episode 8: Drunk Choi Sooyoung Gets Vulnerable Around Park Sung Hoon
"Not Others" episode 8, continues to entertain viewers with the interesting chemistry of Jeon Hye Jin and Choi Sooyoung as they play mother and daughter.
As the rom-com series aired for its fourth week, the 16-part episode K-drama remained unstoppable with an increasing viewership rating.
'Not Others' Viewership
Kicking off the season with a low rating of 1.3 percent, "Not Others" episode 8 set another personal best in viewership.
In a report, Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 3.91 percent for two consecutive weeks, Jeon Hye Jin and Choi Sooyoung's drama showcased an increase in rating.
In addition, "Not Others" recorded the highest ratings for ENA since Park Eun Bin's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" aired. With this, the weekday rom-com series is showing a potential increase in rating in weeks to come.
On the other hand, viewers may watch the latest episode on August 14 via ENA, Genie TV, as well as Hulu and Viki for global fans.
'Not Others' Episode 8 Recap
The episode began with the incident involving Kim Eun Mi. As she was about to go home, a mysterious man grabbed him from behind. It was the culprit whom Eun Mi encountered after saving a woman from assault.
Kim Eun Mi chose not to call her daughter Kim Jin Hee because she knew that she would also be in danger. Instead, she tried to fight the attacker, and thankfully, there were police around the area who helped her capture the suspect.

At the police station, Kim Jin Hee was angry towards her biological father, Park Jin Hong, and was blaming him for the incident. Out of extreme anger, she mentioned how she regretted trusting him and failing to protect her mother.
In one scene, Kim Jin Hee saved a high school student from bullying. It turned out that she knew who the student was but was surprised after finding out that she was pregnant.
Because of her situation, she decides to help the high school student and let her stay at their house for a night.
Since it was a familiar situation for Kim Eun Mi, she agreed to let the teenager stay. At this point, Kim Jin Hee realized how much her mother loved her because she continued the pregnancy despite raising her without a father.
On the other hand, "Not Others" episode 8 featured how things are getting okay between Jin Hee and Chief Eun Jae Won.
After a few drinks with her colleagues, he went straight to her superior's house and ranted about her life.
Here, Kim Jin Hee let her guard down and revealed how hard it is to be raised by a single mom.
She told Eun Jae Won the reason she studied crazy hard at the university. That is, to have a stable job and help her mother financially.
