WJSN Exy To Finally Make Silver Screen Debut

On August 11, King Kong by Starship confirmed that Chu So Jung, known professionally as Exy, is starring in the upcoming film "Eighteen Youth."

The singer-actress joins Kim Do Yeon of Weki Meki and seasoned actress Jeon So Min in the film, which depicts the unconventional relationship between an eccentric teacher and a rebellious teen student.

Kim Do Yeon plays Soon Jung, an 18-year-old student who hates Hee Joo, played by Jeon So Min, a free-spirited teacher who has an interesting way in teaching.

Exy, who is set to debut in the big screen, takes on the role of Kyung Hee. She's the top student in Hee Joo's class who has a well-organized and strategic academic lifestyle.

In 2018, Exy and Kim Do Yeon's groups formed the project group WJMK which created a beautiful friendship between them and their members. Fans expressed their excitement for their reunion.

With this, expectations for the two acting idols are high. They are also predicted to create a fresh and fun atmosphere opposite their senior actress Jeon So Min.

WJSN Exy's Previous Works To Check Out

Prior to her big screen debut, WJSN Exy has already appeared in various works and television programs.

In 2021, the idol-actress joined the cast of "Idol: The Coup" with EXID Hani, Han So Eun, Kim Ji Won, Kwak Si Yang and more.

Unfortunately, it didn't receive huge popularity among the general audiences. In 2022, Exy played a minor role in the Netflix horror show "Urban Myths."

Earlier this year, the idol-actress' television program "Cabin Crew" ended, an addition to her growing list of variety shows including "The Second World," "King of Mask Singer" and more.
