Here's what she said.

Ra Mi Ran Spills Unforgetable Experience As Newbie Actress

Among the sought-after stars of her generation, not to mention the slew of recognitions and awards under her name, the 48-year-old actress once experienced discrimination for being a newbie actress.

During her recent appearance in "Salon Drip 2," which was uploaded to YouTube channel "TEO," Ra Mi Ran was asked by host Jang Do Yeon about her vivid memory when she made her debut as an actress.

According to the veteran star, it was for director Park Chan Wook's "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance," where she took on the supporting role of Oh Sun Hee.

The 2005 film was a psychological thriller, headlined by Lee Young Ae and Choi Min Shik. As mentioned by the actress, she recalled the first day of the shoot she had for the movie.

"It was my first movie, and I didn't know anyone," she said, adding, "The first scene was the bathhouse scene. I filmed while getting undressed."

As soon as the director shouted "cut," Ra Mi Ran said that there was no staff from the production team that offered her a blanket or something to cover herself.

"No one came to me," she said, and continued, "I couldn't get up and stayed still in the water."

Thankfully, the make-up team head noticed her and asked if someone could give her a towel or a blanket.

"I was so sad that I just cried," she said, recalling her emotion that time after doing the scene.

But Ra Mi Ran used this emotion in a scene with lead star Lee Young Ae.

"The next scene happened to be a scene in which my character looks back at Geum Ja (Lee Young Ae) while crying. I was filled with sorrow," she explained.

Despite the experience, the actress was "grateful," especially for director Park Chan Wook, whom she said gave her "good advice."

Ra Mi Ran New Drama: 'Cold Blooded Intern'
