The long wait is over as the Counters finally take down the evil spirits who have wandered for far too long. In the final episode of "The Uncanny Counter 2," the final battle between Jo Byung Gyu and Kang Ki Young takes place.

'The Uncanny Counter 2' Episode 12: Ma Joo Seok Reclaims His Body

The final episode of "The Uncanny Counter 2" begins with the Counters' ultimate plan which is to summon Ma Joo Seok's (Jin Seon Kyu) spirit and put everything to an end.

Do Ha Na (Kim Sejeong) urges So Mun (Jo Byung Gyu) to subdue Ma Joo Seok by entering his subconscious but unfortunately, he can't do that as it will make the other stronger.

Later, he faces off against Hwang Pil Gwang (Kang Ki Young). So Mun, who believes that Ma Joo Seok is still alive, pleads with him to help the Counters out.

Hwang Pil Gwang's spirit then fades as Ma Joo Seok takes control of his body, sacrificing himself by impaling himself through the chest as if exorcizing himself.

Ma Joo Seok Starts Anew

The evil spirit is summoned and destroyed once and for all. The Counters' hideout also self-destructs. Unfortunately, So Mun hasn't awoken yet as he's still inside the subconscious.

Ma Joo Seok and So Mun reminisce about their past inside the apartment building. The former urges the Counter to leave as he's about to die with the long battle over.

However, So Mun refuses to give up on him as his friend. With this, Ma Joo Seok is convinced to come back to the real world.

Chu Mae Ok (Yeom Hye Ran) then wipes off Ma Joo Seok's memories, making sure that he doesn't remember anything before the evil possession.

Hwang Pil Gwang Gets Taken Down

After everything was over, Hwang Pil Gwang vows to return to the place from whence he came where numerous hungry souls wait to feast on him.

Elsewhere, the Counters give each other a big hug. Wi Gen (Moon Sook) then decides that So Mun's skills can be used abroad to teach newbies, which the latter agrees with.

Ma Joo Seok is put behind bars because of what happened but So Mun promises to always be there for him so that he won't be lonely.

To cheer him up, he summons the territory and lets his friend experience the dream of seeing his wife. more time. In his dream, his wife vows to protect him from harm from now on.

The Counters Enjoy New Lives

Six months later, Do Ha Na meets Park Do Hwi (Seo Byuk Jun) once again. He encourages her to learn piano as they rekindle their old romance.

Ga Mo Tak (Yoo Jun Sang) and Na Jeok Beong (Yoo In Soo) continue to suss out wandering evil spirits while Chu Mae Ok becomes Lim Jae Yul's (Jung Taek Hyun) guardian.

So Mun spends his life in Germany where he meets Wi Gen's daughter. After a while, he returns to South Korea with a completely new look.
