In "My Lovely Liar" Episode 12, Kim So Hyun is questioned about her true feelings for Hwang Minhyun who's branded as a murderer. To clear his name, he goes on a hunt to find the real murderer who killed his ex-lover.
'My Lovely Liar' Episode 12: Kim Do Ha Denies Accusations
In episode 12, Kim Do Ha (Hwang Minhyun) sets out to track down the real culprit who murdered Choi Uhm Ji (Song Ji Hyun).
After being cornered as the prime suspect for years, he's now more determined to find the real murderer of his ex-girlfriend.
Lee Kang Min (Seo Ji Hoon) goes to arrest Choi Uhm Ho (Kwon Dong Ho), the victim's brother, who has been stalking and threatening Kim Do Ha's life.

However, this builds a huge rift between the police detective and Mok Sol Hee (Kim So Hyun) who's more concerned about Kim Do Ha's safety than her own.
Lee Kang Min's Hate Grows
Mok Sol Hee learns that Choi Uhm Ji suffered from financial burden before due to her father. She and Kim Do Ha then decide to find Choi Yong Guk (Yoon Sang Ho).
Lee Kang Min continues to detest Kim Do Ha for what he allegedly did, and for "luring" Mok Sol Hee in his own problem.
Despite his opposition, Mok Sol Hee continued to stick by Kim Do Ha's side. Lee Kang Min then calls Kim Do Ha a "murderer" despite the other's denial.

Because of this, the wall between Lee Kang Min and Mok Sol Hee continues to grow bigger.
Kim Do Ha Tracks Down Choi Uhm Ji's Killer
Kim Do Ha and Mok Sol Hee arrive at Hakcheon Beach where Choi Yong Guk resides. The two are puzzled when they hear about Choi Yong Guk receiving Choi Uhm Ji's death insurance money, heightening the tension.
Mok Sol Hee helps Kim Do Ha to find Choi Yong Guk at the small town. Later, she bumps into the father of the victim instead of Kim Do Ha.
She then asks Choi Yong Guk if he is the one who took his own daughter's life in exchange for some chump money. The episode ends as Mok Sol Hee waits for his reply to see whether he is telling the truth.
