Actress Kang Sung Yeon has disclosed her third marriage after three years of separation. On May 11, 2026 (KST), Kang took to her social media page with a picture of her and her new spouse smiling happily together.

She wrote about the support and love that helped her to heal and find happiness again. Kang expressed, "Because of you, who protected me and comforted my aching heart for a long time, I was able to smile. You gifted me the strength and time to live again! Everything I do with you feels like a miracle," as per Koreaboo.

She also spoke about building a new family with her children. Kang said, "Everyone. And to all the fans who prayed for my happiness, Sian's, and Haean's, and who supported us so warmly. Thanks to you, the children and I are building a new family with such a good person, creating precious laughter and happiness within ordinary life."

Kang addressed why she had waited to share the news publicly. She explained, "Because there were past times when I was cautious out of concern that things might become noisy, I ask for your deep understanding that I am only telling you now."

She added further reflection about her decision, "Part of me does not want to announce this loudly, but I realized it is also important to properly let everyone know how I am currently living, so I am gathering the courage to share this."

She went on to describe the complexities of her life as a daughter, mother, and wife and emphasized the importance of prioritizing her own happiness. "There were solemn and heavy days, but in the end, the most important and simplest answer was my own happiness... With strength from the precious support you have sent me, I will become even happier," Kang stated, according to xportsnews.

Kang Sung Yeon was previously married to jazz pianist Kim Ga On in 2012, with whom she has two sons. The couple divorced in 2023, with Kang reportedly raising their children.

Earlier this year, she received warm support after confirming her relationship publicly. Fans have since congratulated her on this new chapter in her life.
