2013 Is Lee Bo Young’s Most Successful Year

With her drama projects and marriage, actress Lee Bo Young is probably the most successful TV personality this 2013.

She began the year with the second half of her drama "My Daughter Seo Young", from which she received several acting awards, including popularity and couple awards, as well as the Grand Prize/Daesang for acting in the 2013 Korean Drama Awards. It is also the highest rated drama for 2013 so far with 47.6% viewer ratings for its final episode.

Midway through 2013, Lee was casted in the mystery-romance drama "I Hear Your Voice" as Jang Hye Sung, a spunky and brash lawyer who has a different attitude from her usual gentle and innocent characters. This earned her rave reviews from critics. In addition, her pairing with actor Lee Jong Suk sparked a renewed interest in the 'noona romance', thus earning them several Best Couple awards and nominations in various award ceremonies throughout the year.

On September, the actress announced her marriage to fellow actor and long-time boyfriend Ji Sung, and the couple wed in front of their friends and families at Seoul Walkerhill Hotel. She admitted in a previous interview that they were supposed to announce their wedding earlier, but because of her drama commitments, they postponed it until shortly before their nuptials.
