Im Siwan is booked and busy with his back-to-back blockbuster projects from "Unlocked," "Road to Boston," and now "Squid Game."

With his versatility, Im Siwan is able to rake in thousands of fans around the globe. His following also doubled after he confirmed his participation in the mega hit Netflix show.

In an interview, Im Siwan candidly revealed why he didn't hesitate to confirm his appearance in the second season of "Squid Game."

Im Siwan Gets Candid About 'Squid Game' Casting Story

Fans all around the world are hyped for the arrival of the newest season of Netflix's "Squid Game."

Apart from its original cast, its viewers are also looking forward to seeing the addition of Im Siwan, Park Gyu Young, Kang Ha Neul and more.

"Squid Game" Season 2 is said to pick up where the previous season left off, depicting Lee Jung Jae's Sung Gi Hun's life after winning the death game.

In addition to that, Hwang Dong Hyuk, the creator of the show, also raises the excitement by saying that the life of Lee Byung Hun's character, the Front Man, will also be tackled.

In an interview, Im Siwan revealed that Lee Byung Hun is a senior actor that he looks up to, and one of the reasons why he was drawn to the survival series.

"It's an honor to work with him in a renowned show," Im Siwan said, gaining attention from the public. He added, "I have no doubts about the show. It's a genre that I want to explore and own as an actor."

According to Im Siwan, he didn't hesitate to say "yes" after receiving the offer to appear in Season 2 much to his fans' delight.

Im Siwan to Make Silver Theater Return With 'Road To Boston'

The year 2023 was big for Im Siwan who enjoyed a back-to-back success for his recent works "Unlocked," "Summer Strike" and more.

This fall, the actor teams up with equally talented star Park Eun Bin in the sports thriller film "Road To Boston" which depicts the lives of Korean athletes in 1947 at the first ever marathon post-war.

Seasoned stars Bae Sung Woo, Kim Sang Ho and more are all part of the ensemble, and it airs for the first time on September 27 in theaters nationwide. Don't miss it.
