‘Castaway Diva’ Press Con: Park Eun Bin Returns With New Blockbuster Hit

A week before its long awaited premiere, "Castaway Diva" held a press conference to formally introduce the drama as well as the cast and crew that worked together to produce a masterpiece.

Park Eun Bin Returns With New Blockbuster Hit 'Castaway Diva'

This fall, the award-winning actress Park Eun Bin is finally coming back to the television scene with her brand new rom-com series "Castaway Diva."

On October 19, a press conference was held to introduce the work and intensify fans' excitement. It was attended by the cast and crew of the show.

"Castaway Diva" tells the life of an aspiring singer who, on her way to Seoul for an audition, gets stranded on an uninhabited island for 15 years due to an incident.

According to the actress, the drama was offered to her during the peak of her mega hit drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" in 2022. With this, the pressure is on for Park Eun Bin.

"I found the premise interesting. I was excited to do it," she said. "I gave my 100% to the production and I have high hopes that it will give 2023 another milestone, just like 2022."

Park Eun Bin approached it with a realistic view, and resonated with Seo Mok Ha, her character. She said, "I internalized for a long time and thought to myself that I, too, will debut as a singer."

The actress even learned how to play the guitar to further embody her character. In addition, she also focused on her accent and diction by reaching out to friends with the Jeolla dialect.

"I poured my heart into the drama," Park Eun Bin said. "I think the viewers will see it, and appreciate the work."

She believed that she would effectively convey Seo Mok Ha's feelings with her own voice. Park Eun Bin confessed that she had difficulties synchronizing with her role but she has no regrets.

Praises For Park Eun Bin's 'Castaway Diva' Performance

Director Oh Chung Hwan has nothing but high praises for Park Eun Bin. The director revealed that there were no auditions that took place as he only wanted to see the actress as Seo Mok Ha.

"I needed someone with a positive personality and great skills," the director said. "When I saw "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," [Park Eun Bin] was the only one I wanted for the work."

He also described Park Eun Bin as the piece of hope to every viewer who are as lost and as stuck as Seo Mok Ha in their own islands with no escape.

With this, expectations for "Castaway Diva" are through the roof. Catch the drama this October 28 at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN. It will also be available on Netflix so don't miss it.
