Sacrificing his family and identity, Park Joon Mo agrees to the assignment in hopes of getting a higher position in the police force.

With his new task, he was given a new identity and had to work for Gangnam Union boss Jung Ki Chul, played by Wi Ha Joon.

'The Worst of Evil' Episode 8 Recap

The episode continues with guilt eating up Park Joon Mo following the death of the detective, who has been tasked by Jung Ki Chul to do a background check on Kwon Seung Ho.

To prevent his mission from getting exposed, he tried to negotiate with the detective but ran off and tried to escape, as he wanted to warn Ki Chul right away.

Unfortunately, he accidentally slipped into the building, resulting in his death.

At this point, Joon Mo is having mixed emotions of guilt and anger towards his current status.

However, the only thing that he could do was earn Jung Ki Chul's trust, and to do that, he had to help seal the deal with the Japanese investors through Ms. Lee Hae Ryeon.

As they are set to go out on their first official date, Joon Mo meets Ms. Lee but unexpectedly sees Jung Ki Chul with Yoo Eui Jung.

She greeted Joon Mo, but Lee Hae Ryeon expressed jealousy toward Eui Jung.

As Ki Chul and Eui Jung went inside the Gangnam Union's headquarters, some of his men were against bringing Eui Jung, who is a cop, to their office, but Jung Ki Chul insisted that they should trust him.

Meanwhile, Park Joon Mo couldn't resist Lee Hae Ryeon as she leaned to kiss him. Thankfully, her bodyguard went in and mentioned that the Jaegeon Group would be taking over Jung Ki Chul's headquarters.

She immediately warned Park Joon Mo to escape, but his loyalty lies with Jung Ki Chul.

Lo and behold, the Jaegeon Group attacked their headquarters with Eui Jung at Jung Ki Chul's office.
