'Strong Girl Namsoon' Episode 5: Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Jung Eun Team Up to Save the World

"Strong Girl Namsoon" episode 5 focused on what Lee Yoo Mi and Kim Jung Eun's characters discovered as they dug into the crimes in Gangnam. As drug-related incidents were getting out of hand, Gang Nam Soon's mother stepped up her game to crack down the illegal activities. 

A spin-off to the 2017 hit K-drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," the new JTBC series tells the story of three generations of women with interesting abilities.

Headlined by Lee Yoo Mi, she is joined by Kim Jung Eun as her billionaire mother, Hwang Geum Joo, and her legendary grandmother, Gil Joong Gan, portrayed by Kim Hae Sook.

'Strong Girl Namsoon' Viewership

After skyrocketing viewership since the show's premiere, the rom-com weekend K-drama failed to continue maintaining its perfect streak of high ratings.

After five episodes, "Strong Girl Namsoon" hit its first dip in rating after scoring an average nationwide rating of 7.3 percent.

Per the local report, from its previous episode of 9.7 percent, the 5th episode showed a significant decrease in rating.

Despite this, "Strong Girl Namsoon" maintained first place in its time slot across all cable channels.

'Strong Girl Namsoon' Episode 5 Recap

The episode began with Gang Nam Soon and Kang Hee Shik's undercover mission in Doogo's warehouse to find drug evidence. After receiving a tip from a concerned citizen, Hee Shik figured out that the drugs were hidden inside the mask.

Initially, Kang Hee Shik didn't want Nam Soon to join the operation because of how dangerous it was, but thankfully she did and made the whole thing a lot easier.

After getting the samples, Hee Shik planned to send the evidence to the forensic department for further investigation.

Meanwhile, one of the significant scenes in "Strong Girl Namsoon" was the unexpected encounter with Ryu Shi Oh. While taking a walk at the warehouse, she saw a bizarre-looking shadow near the glass window and offered the man some help.

As it turned out, it was Shi Oh who also possessed extreme strength.

As Nam Soon went to her mother's office, she saw his photo on Geum Joo's laptop and mentioned that the person was one of the CEOs of Dooggo.

Luckily, Geum Joo was investigating the background of Ryu Shi Oh, but with the help of Nam Soon, she was able to dig into who he was.

In the last scene, Geum Joo believed that she met Nam Soon for a reason, which was to save the world from people like Shi Oh.
