Shin Se Kyung Shares Affection For ‘Arthdal Chronicles 2’ + Reveals Future Acting Plans

The tvN period piece "Arthdal Chronicles 2" finally bid goodbye to its beloved viewers after six amazing weeks of broadcast.

Following its conclusion, Shin Se Kyung dished out her honest feelings about her character, work and more. She also shared her acting plans for the future.

Shin Se Kyung Expresses Gratitude To Supporters

On October 22, tvN's "Arthdal Chronicles 2" finally released its finale and closed the curtains for the season.

The drama aired for six weeks and delivered a great watching experience to fans all around the globe, thanks to the cast's great performances and undeniable synergy.

In an interview, Shin Se Kyung, who played the role of priestess Tanya, expressed her gratitude to the fans who supported the drama from the beginning until the end.

She gave life to Tanya this season, and showcased her growth over the course of eight intense years. Her stable acting and passionate portrayal of the role was received well by the fans.

Shin Se Kyung thanked everyone who watched the drama. She shared that she was able to learn a lot through the work, describing her journey as a "rewarding and fulfilling" time.

"Playing Tanya was more difficult than I imagined. I never thought I'd play a character as strong as her," Shin Se Kyung confessed. "I'm proud of myself for taking on the challenge."

Shin Se Kyung Reveals Most Unforgettable Moment During Filming

To recall, Shin Se Kyung received a lot of flak for "replacing" Season 1's Kim Ji Won as Tanya.

Many criticized the actress due to her alleged stiff acting and soulless eyes. Shin Se Kyung revealed that it was the most unforgettable time for her due to the intense pressure and expectations.

"I was worried about the line delivery because they weren't easy," Shin Se Kyung said. "I just immersed myself with the character. I think that's what overturned people's long-held prejudices against me."

In addition to that, Shin Se Kyung promised to return with greater works to prove herself worthy of the viewers' time. She hinted at her upcoming works which she is currently reviewing.

As for her dream role, she wants to play a character from an action drama or a thrilling horror work, surprising the fans.

"I'll do my best to give life to my characters," the actress said. "I'll come back soon. I'm working hard on filming my next project. Stay healthy and happy always."
