Cho Yi Hyun Chooses Friendship Over Love

Thanks to her noteworthy performances in "All of Us Are Dead," "Hospital Playlist," and "School 2021," promising star Cho Yi Hyun is amassing more attention and praises.

As viewers get to know her, one of the things that they are curious about is her dating life.  

Though Cho Yi Hyun is merely focusing on her acting career, there is no news on whether she's single or currently dating someone. Hence, her past remark on dating resurfaced again.

In one of her media interviews, the "Hospital Playlist" star stated that she would never date a guy friend, as she would choose friendship over love.

According to the Korean star, she is not the type to fall in love at first sight, but she would never allow herself to date a friend.

"For me, friendship comes first before love. If someone becomes my friend but tells me they like me, that's betraying our friendship."

The "School 2021" star revealed that she even debated with her friends about this topic before, and no one agreed with her. Her friend said that it was not a sin to like someone.

In addition, the K-drama lead star also confessed that she's never been in love. Many were shocked by her dating experience confession.

"I don't understand what a first love is supposed to be. I've never been able to love fully. I am sure that if I meet someone in the future, I'll know but for now, I don't know what it is."

What's Next for Cho Yi Hyun?

Cho Yi Hyun will grace the screen for the first time this 2023 as she headlines the upcoming historical-romance series "The Matchmakers." She will pair up with K-heartthrob Rowoon.

Catch the upcoming onscreen partner beginning October 30 on KBS at 9:50 p.m. (KST).

The young star is also returning to Netflix in the second installment of "All of Us Are Dead," which is tentatively for release in 2024. More details about the sequel are yet to be announced.
