'The Worst of Evil' Episode 12 Recap

The finale episode continues with Chief Seo testing Park Joon Mo to see if he knows the undercover agent, who in reality is his senior.

Since Joon Mo couldn't shoot Captain Seok Do Hyung, it was Chief Seo who killed him, but Joon Mo couldn't handle himself and fought the gang member. Thankfully, there were police backups, and they arrested Seo for murder.

Prosecutor Cho Chang Sik didn't want Joon Mo to know the real status of Do Hyung and lied to him that his colleague was currently recovering so he could focus on his mission.

On the other hand, Hwang Min Goo managed to arrest Jung Ki Chul after his former men, Choi Jung Bae, Hong Hee Sung, and Oh Kyung Jin, joined forces with him as they got back at Ki Chul.

For Min Goo, it's a win-win situation since he gets to arrest Gangnam Union's leader and, at the same time, get funds from the new leader, Jung Bae, that he will be teaming up with from now on.

However, Park Joon Mo didn't want all their efforts to go to waste, so he didn't let Min Goo take the credit and saved Jung Ki Chul from him.

At the safe house, he planned to work alongside Lee Hae Ryang against Jung Bae.

At the location, Lee Hae Ryang arrived and was surprised to see police officer Hwang Min Goo.

He tried to get information and brainwash Ms. Lee against Joon Mo, and he revealed his true identity.

Before deciding if he would help Min Goo, he asked if she could make a phone call.

It turns out that the person she called was Joon Mo. During their conversation, she didn't feel like he would throw him out of the bus, but instead, Joon Mo advised Lee Hae Ryang not to stay in Korea or in China for her protection.

At this point, she felt that Joon Mo was protecting her, and out of gratitude, she killed Min Goo.

As for Joon Mo, he concluded the mission by arresting Choi Jung Bae, Hong Hee Sung, and Oh Kyung Jin, labeling them as the Gangnam Union's heads.

Meanwhile, he let Jung Ki Chul escape, but it was obvious that he was devastated by what he found out about Joon Mo.

Following this, Joon Mo and Eui Jung were surprised to see Ki Chul at their home.

He promised that the couple would never be happy throughout their marriage, and right before he killed his mother, Joon Mo shot him and called the police, saying that he had arrested Jung Ki Chul.

In the last scene, Park Joon Mo and Yoo Eui Jung were awarded for their service, as was Captain Seo Do Hyung.

However, it didn't end well with Park Joon Mo and Yoo Eui Jung. As Joon Mo paid Jung Ki Chul's grave a visit, he left his wedding ring, hinting that he and his wife had broken up.
