Park Eun Bin Shares Intense Struggles For New Drama

On November 3, Netflix Korea unveiled Park Eun Bin's exclusive interview called "Park Eun Bin's Secret Counseling Center" where she talked about her new drama "Castaway Diva."

In the series, the actress transformed into a castaway who was stuck on an uninhabited island for 15 long years due to an unexpected incident.

Because of its theme, filming on an island was necessary. In the clip, Park Eun Bin revealed that it was difficult playing the role of Seo Mok Ha, and she had endured it until the end.

"I felt like Seo Mok Ha in real life," she said. "The island where he filmed had no signs of people. It was a really hard time for me."

Thankfully, everything worked out for the actress and the crew. Regarding her decision, Park Eun Bin chose "Castaway Diva" during the filming of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

She reasoned that Woo Young Woo took its toll on her. She added, "I was so lonely at the time. I found comfort from the script of "Castaway Diva," so I decided to be on the show."

Thanks to the actress' dedication, the new tvN drama recorded an average score of 4.1% on its first week of broadcast, which is a great kick start for the work.

Will 'Castaway Diva' Surpass the Success of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'?

With Park Eun Bin's undeniable reign in the past year with ENA's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," the public grows curious whether "Castaway Diva" can rival the classic drama.

During the pilot week, the former recorded an average score of 1.3%, which is incredibly low compared to the rating that "Castaway Diva" received on its first week.

However, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" picked up its pace and broke records last year. It even received the Grand Prize for Television dramas at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.

With this, fans are concerned that "Castaway Diva" might struggle to make waves especially as it overlaps with MBC's "My Dearest" and SBS TV's "The Escape of the Seven."

However, the actress believes that the show has its own charms. She also promises that "Castaway Diva" will take the public to a healing journey.

"I don't regret it," Park Eun Bin said. "It was indeed a new challenge for me and there were some frustrations. But I'm confident about the work because I worked hard for it."
