In his family, he's the only one who can hear and talk.

"I cried when I first read the script. I cried when I filmed the work. I still cried when I watched it. It's such a beautiful and emotional work for me."

For months, he devoted himself in practicing from playing the guitar to singing. Ryeoun poured his heart out in rehearsing to become a "genius musician."

His own father gave him tips in holding the guitar and how to play it. Ironically, his father was also a musician in the past, like his father in the drama who was played by Choi Won Young.

"The director trusted us and gave us a free, creative environment. We would ad-lib a lot during filming. We also got along with the staff very well."

As for his most memorable scenes, he chose the time where he persuaded Choi Hyun Wook's character from jumping off a cliff as it was filled with extreme emotions.

Ryeoun also liked the scene where he had a confrontation with Choi Won Young using sign language. It was a heavy scene that brought him to tears during the rehearsals.

Thankfully, it was also well-received by the public. "Twinkling Watermelon" delivered a fun and fresh watching experience, thanks to the cast members' synergy and beautiful teamwork.

Ryeoun Gets Candid on Kiss Scene With Seol In Ah

Ryeoun also loved his kiss scenes with Seol In Ah. Because she's a senior, she had a lot of skills and guided the former well.

In an anecdote the actor shared, their intimate scene was filmed in a rice field with no light. Because the staff had brought their own equipment, there had been a lot of bugs.

"The bugs would come in and I couldn't open my eyes and mouth. The kiss scenes were hilarious especially when filming got interrupted due to mosquito bites."
