'Marry My Husband' Media Conference Cancelled Following Lee Sun Gyun's Passing

On December 27, the production team of the new drama "Marry My Husband" released a statement regarding the postponement of their event today.

According to the team:

"Due to the sudden news in the entertainment industry, the online press conference live broadcast, which is scheduled for 2 PM (KST) today, December 27, has been rescheduled to Monday, January 1, 2024, at 2PMand is changed to a recorded broadcast. We apologize for the sudden change of schedule and ask for your kind understanding."

The "Marry My Husband" stars Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, and Lee Gi Kwang, along with the drama's director, Park Won Guk, were supposed to introduce the new project.

Originally, the presscon was scheduled for this afternoon (December 27), but following to Lee Sun Gyun's passing, the Korean entertainment industry is mourning.

Other broadcast schedules are reportedly in discussions for cancellation too.

In the morning, the public was shocked following the reports announcing the death of "Parasite" actor Lee Sun Gyun. According to the police reports, they found the unconscious body of the actor in the passenger seat of his car where traces of burning charcoal briquettes were also found.

"Marry My Husband" is a romance-revenge drama that features the story of a woman who was killed after witnessing her husband's affair with her best friend. She's given a second life and travels back ten years to start a new life.

The series is scheduled to premiere beginning January 1, 2024, at 8:50 p.m. (KST) on tvN and TVING.

"Marry My Husband" marks Park Min Young's small-screen comeback following "Love in Contract" in 2022. Fans and viewers are already looking forward to seeing the actress on screen and her soon-to-debut chemistry with actor Na In Woo as her newest leading man.
