The Netflix series "Gyeongseong Creature" finally wrapped up the season only to be heavily criticized by the viewers due to its disappointing development and narrative.

Starring Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, "Gyeongseong Creature" is a historical thriller series that depicts the survival of people in 1945 after a monster is born from humankind's greed.

Because the work dominated prime time and even topped the box office with its jam-packed narrative and engrossing elements, it came as a great shock that Part 2 wasn't as well-received as its first half.

Many claimed that the narrative failed to be interesting in the final half of the season that not even A-list Hallyu stars could save. Viewers said that "Netflix wasted money" on its production.

The one-minute long kissing scene between Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee was also criticized, described by viewers as "boring, dull and lacking chemistry."

 

With this, netizens don't have high expectations for Season 2, which is slated to air some time this year, due to the overwhelmingly disappointing development in the first season.

'Gyeongseong Creature 2' Guarantees Improved Narrative & More

"Gyeongseong Creature" focused on the story of the struggles and survival of South Koreans in the year 1945.

The work gave emphasis on the historically based experiments in the Japanese imperial army, which received divided opinions from the viewers.

In the final scene of Season 1, Han So Hee's Yoon Chae Ok seemed to have been revived by the virus that lived inside the monster's body, opening up the story of the succeeding season.
