"Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground" Episodes 8 and 9 will air on April 2.

'Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground' Episode 5 Recap: The 'Avengers Team' is Born

The 5th episode continued with the result of Quest 2 between Team Hong Beom Seok and Lee Jang Kun. It was Hong Beom Seok's team that would advance to the next round.

For the next team, it would be between Team Jung Ji Hyun and Team Lee Jae Yoon.

In an interview, Lee Jae Yoon admitted that the team could feel the pressure since most of Ji Hyun's members are professional athletes, but he was confident that his teammates would give 100 percent to win the game.

Lo and behold, the game began with Team Lee Jae Yoon leading the race.

However, the strategy of Jung Ji Hyun's team was to block the opponents from entering the zone. Unfortunately, it didn't work, because it only let the other team win the challenge, and Jung Ji Hyun's team was eliminated.

To wrap up the second quest, the last two teams would compete against each other: Team Kim Min Su for Blue and Team Andre Jin for Red.

As the bell rang, contestants rushed to transfer the sandbags to different areas.

For Andre Jin, although Kim Min Su's team consisted of big guys, he thought that his team was well balanced, which made them the winner of this round.

As the surviving teams gathered in different arenas, what welcomed them was a colosseum-like stage with 10 pillars and a sand pit. The game master then called the losing teams to enter the arena.

In Quest 2.5, the 25 contestants would face their final chance of survival.

After failing the five-on-five match, they had to engage in a survival match by taking over pillars in the arena. Whoever controled the arena for a designated time would win the game, and the person who failed to reach the mark would be eliminated.

Of course, there was a tricky twist in "Physical: 100" Season 2 quest 2.5. There would be fewer pillars at every round, leaving only one pillar for the final challenge. This meant that there would be only one survival for this quest.

Interestingly, the final round was between young wrestler Jang Jun Hyuk and Olympic gold medalist Jung Ji Hyun.

The young athlete surprised the crowd by displaying amazing technique and strength. Nonetheless, he was unable to beat his senior, Jung Ji Hyun.

To conclude the challenge, Jung Ji Hyun would select participants to form a new team that would advance to the next round.

Out of all the 24 participants, he selected the former team leaders Lee Jang Kun, Kim Jee Hyuk, Kim Min Su, and Amotti, with the crowd labeling them as the "Dream Team or "Team Avengers."
