Lee Je Hoon Meets Seo Eun Soo for the First Time in ‘Chief Detective 1958’
As "Chief Detective 1958" nears its much-awaited premiere, MBC continues to tease viewers with intriguing stills featuring the cast of the upcoming period drama.
Headlined by Lee Je Hoon, the action-crime series is a prequel to the longtime running "Chief Inspector," which aired from 1971 to 1989.
As the broadcast network features the journey of Park Young Han, "Chief Detective 1958" introduces its cast in the latest teaser.
'Chief Detective 1958' Teaser Showcases Lee Je Hoon, Seo Eun Soo's Characters
Based on the classic Korean series "Chief Inspector," the upcoming K-drama follows the story of Park Young Han's early years as a detective.
Played by Lee Je Hoon, Young Han is the newest member of Jongnam Police Station. During his time, he and his group have the highest arrest rate because of their mission to break corruption and solve petty crimes.
On the other hand, the latest still cuts showcase the first encounter between Park Young Han and Lee Hye Joo, played by Seo Eun Soo.
The bookstore owner, Jongnam Seorim, captivates the detective with her intelligence and beauty.

With this, viewers get to see the chemistry of the duo as they play as young lovers in "Chief Detective 1958."

In a previous report, the production team hinted at what to expect from Lee Je Hoon and Seo Eun Soo's characters.
"Lee Je Hoon and Seo Eun Soo will bring excitement with their acting and chemistry. The warm and exciting romance will further enrich the drama."
'Chief Detective 1958' Cast, Release Date
As mentioned, the upcoming K-drama boasts a roster of talented stars.
Other than Lee Je Hoon, who is known for his versatility in action and drama, the "Chief Detective 1958" cast includes Lee Dong Hwi as Park Young Han's partner and detective Kim Sang Soon, who is known as one of the veterans in Jongnam Police Station.

Adding to the list of cast members are Choi Woo Sung and Yoon Hyun Soo as rookie detectives Cho Kyung Hwan and Seo Ho Jeong.
Interestingly, the upcoming "Chief Detective 1958" also features a special cameo by Choi Bool Am, who played the role of the original Park Young Han.

He will reprise his role as the older Young Han and will be joined by Lee Soon Jae and Park Geun Hyung, who also appeared in the classic K-drama.
Viewers will get to see Lee Je Hoon take on the iconic role as "Chief Detective 1958," slated for release on April 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
The upcoming series will air every Friday and Saturday via MBC, as well as Wavve for global viewers.
