Lee Jong Suk Hints At His Possible Drama Comeback With '1 Second'

On April 12, media reports announced that Lee Jong Suk is being courted to lead the upcoming drama "1 Second" (working title).

In addition to the news, there is a high possibility that his appearance will come to fruition as both the production and the actor's agency are positively discussing the work. 

"1 Second" is about a firefighter who can see the future and use his skills to save people. This will be the drama adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name, penned by Sini and illustrated by Kang Woon.

The original webtoon, which has been released through Naver since 2019, finished season 1 in 2022 and is currently serializing season 2. The work is said to have over 500k readers on webtoon and has a rating of 9.98 (out of 10).

Lee Jong Suk Courted to Play as Firefighter Who Has the Ability To See Future

The drama is set in the central fire station of a fictional city, and the main protagonist Ho Seo, is a legendary firefighter who solves disaster situations through his ability to see the future. 

If Lee Jong Suk accepts the offer, he will portray the role of Ho Seo. In the original work, the character is described as someone who has a handsome face and a masculine aura, so it is expected that his physical features with Lee Jong Suk will be perfectly synchronized. 

Meanwhile, actors and actresses who will be joining the cast are still in discussions.

'1 Second' To Release on Disney Plus

"1 Second" is Lee Jong Suk's next work following his drama "Big Mouth," and is expected to attract attention as it will be his first OTT work. The drama is said to be released on Disney Plus.

Lee Jong Suk, who started acting in 2010 through the drama "Princess Prosecutor" eventually received more projects and starred in series such as "I Hear Your Voice," "Secret Garden," "School 2013," "Doctor Stranger," "Pinocchio," "W: Two Worlds," "While You Were Sleeping," "Romance is a Bonus Book," and his latest "Big Mouth."

Moreover, Lee Jong Suk is a representative of K-Star who led the Korean wave in Asia. It is expected that the global popularity of his potential series "1 Second" will be achieved. 

According to the production company that will handle the series, there are already hints that "1 Second" will have large-scale production costs.
